On the way to delivering the trophy to a kite festival, Thomas spots Stephen and Bridgett flying a kite, only to have the wind blow it away. Thomas vows to chase it down, and refuses help from his friends along the way. However, just as he's about to catch it, Thomas runs out of steam and comes to a hault only inches from the kite.
Meh, it was okay. Definately not 'Steamy Sodor', but it was mediocre. The music and the plot reminded me of something from the classic 'Winnie the Pooh' show, which I liked. I also found some of the shots in this one quite good, like Thomas and Charlie on the hillside, and the kite flying back towards Thomas' face. I also enjoyed the return of Stephen and Bridgett, who haven't been seen since Season 5! (If you don't count their minor cameos in Season 10's 'Which Way Now?')
The plot is reused from several seasons' episodes before, so it was very repetitive and it got a bit boring after awhile. It wasn't a horrid episode, but it could have been way better. Perhaps they could have fit in a crash or derailment of some sort instead of Thomas just running out of water.
It's okay, that's all it is. Nothing more.moreless
