Thorne

Show Summary

Thorne is a drama based on Mark Billingham's crime novels, starring David Morrissey as DI Tom Thorne. In the first serial, "Sleepyhead", Thorne is trying to hunt down a serial killer. The fourth victim is still alive, but although she can identify the killer, she cannot communicate with anyone after she's left with 'locked-in syndrome'. In "Scaredy Cat", Thorne investigates a particularly vicious murder. A second murder was committed at the same time, and Thorne concludes that two serial killers are at work.

  • Sleepyhead woke me up!

Trinity Barden. Where have I seen her before. Small part but excellent acting. Kudos Trinity Yuck though that they made your part sleep with Eddie. Ick. But I do like Eddie's passion in this episode. I'm a first time watcher and I'm hooked!
  • Well acted and well written

I'm really enjoying thorne so far. I know it's early days but the first episode really impressed me. The detectives seem more realistic than most you see on TV - they're not just one dimensional characters - and the storylines are really compelling.

You're introduced to two possible murderers but it's impossible to work out who's done it - if either of them did that is.

It looks great too. The way it's filmed is really slick.

With Aidan Gillan, David Morrissey and Natashca McElhone it was obvious before the show even started that the acting would be good. But I was particularly impressed by the girl who played the victim. She may have just been laying their still but she added a lot to the episode and her still face was so chilling.

I'm really looking forward to more.moreless
