SYNOPSIS: Widowed, free-lance photographer Pete Karras travels the country wherever his assignments take him with his two sons, John (17) and Endy (12).

In the pilot they meet and help Julie, a young woman trapped in an abusive relationship. Endy, who has been searching for a mother figure since the loss of his own mother, forms an instant attachment but in the end Julie reveals to Pete that she has a terminal illness and elects to move home to be cared for by her aging father. COMMENTS: The pilot is reasonably entertaining and introduced the three main characters and their basic situation. The regular series was geared for a family audience and tended to get treacly at times, but the performances by the three leads were always good.moreless
