Dr. Jordan: I thought we banned donuts from department meetings, for health reasons.
David: Donuts make people happy, happy is healthy.

JC: (about his wife, Terri) A new heart and a new baby all in the same day; I didn't see that one coming.

Miranda: Well, I don't think I was that far out of line, I'm sorry, I know what that kid is going through; I know that house.
Dr. Jordan: You know your house; you know the home you grew up in.
Miranda: That's right, I do and I know that my father was never there and I've done things worse than eating metal to get his attention.
Dr. Jordan: Miranda, I won't attempt to minimize the price your family paid for your father's dedication, I know all about it, I was here working with him when he built this hospital. What I am suggesting is your sensitivity about an absent parent might limit your ability to diagnosis this patient.
Miranda: Well, I hadn't considered that.

(In Cleveland, Ryan has just gotten the news that the donor family is asking for more time and he quickly approached the family, David goes after him)
David: Ryan! (David pulls him away) What are you doing? You are way out of line.
Ryan: She might die, David.
David: Yes, she could, but this is not how we do it.
Ryan: Because of some rule?
David: Because it's the right thing to do; It has to be a gift.

(Andy is walking with Dr. Jordan and his cell phone rings)
Dr. Jordan: Is that T-Pain in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Andy: Somebody's been messing with my ringtone.
