  • And a-camping we went

This one played more like a stunt than a regular episode, or perhaps like it was an extended skit on some variety show from the 1970s. Basically the idea was to get everybody up there in the woods, and let them go at it. Still, it does contain the classic "Jack vs hammock" encounter, and the commercial-crazed chick proved to be pretty fun too. And a genuine lol moment came with Larry feigning shock at Jack's actual career choice. Oh yeah, and this was one of the better Chrissy shows too, with her sleeping-bag anecdote being especially amusing.moreless

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Goof: When Jack is walking around zipped in his sleeping bag, he walks past the camera and a shadow from the stage light becomes visible behind him, as this much light in the forest would not be produced at night.

    • Goof: Also, underneath the hammock and the area surrounding it, there is obviously some sort of mattress built into the ground for Jack to cushion his fall (obvious many times during the scene).

  • NOTES (2)

    • Lana's place on the show decreased much after this episode. The producers couldn't come up with anything new and the main cast started complaining her character was being used too much. Ann Wedgeworth decided to leave midseason, instead of staying.

    • John Ritter had more problems than expected with the hammock, so it was edited that he could get it on the second try. Originally, it took him 4 times to get on the hammock. The full version can be seen in Part 2 of The Best Of Three's Company as well as on the Season 4 DVD.
