Chrissy: Be Kind to the Ropers today! 'Cause today is their annivers'ray.
Chrissy: Well, Mrs. Roper, see the world is made up of 2 kinds of people, twos and ones. Sometimes two ones become a two, and other times one of the ones of the two is tired of being a two wants to become a one again, not that the other one of the two isn't a nice one, it's just two ones can't become a two with out the one. (pause) See.
Mrs. Roper: No.
(Chrissy starts to cry)
Janet: Chrissy what does your father say to couples in trouble.
Chrissy: He tells them to keep the baby.
Jack: ...the S.S. Mrs. Roper.
Chrissy: What a rotten thing to do.
Jack: Yeah.
Chrissy: He never even took us for a Sail.
Chrissy: 2, 4, 6, 8, Who do we appreciate? The Ropers, The Ropers, Yay Ropers!
(To the tune of "Roll Out the Barrel")
Janet: Stanley & Helen, your anniversary is today. 2 3 4, Stanley & Helen, We come to laugh and to play-ay-ay-ay-ay.
Mrs. Dawson: What is everybody talking about?
Mr. Roper: They thought that you and I were having an affair!
Mrs. Dawson: Oh people, please! I'm in real estate, not recycling!
Syndication Scene Cut: Chrissy and Janet's bit of coming up with a song for the Ropers Anniversary, and usually begin the episode where Jack enters.
To draw more attention to The Ropers, which aired after Three's Company during its first series, this was the last new episode for almost two months, until The Ropers completed it's first season.
Audra Lindley and Norman Fell make their last regular appearance in this episode as they move onto their new spin-off The Ropers. After this episode, the spin-off premiered and that first episode is also shown with Three's Company in syndication.
