Goof: Just after the cave-in, one shot of Thundarr shows his brown boots colored gold like his wristpacks.
(When Yando causes a cave-in with the sunsword)
Ariel: The whole place is collapsing. We have to get out!
Thundarr: We will...Soon enough. (Gets his sunsword after Yando lost it just before the group is sealed in by heavy rocks)
Ariel: Is this your idea of "soon enough"?
Thundarr: We will escape. I hold the sunsword! (Holds the hilt high, but it doesn't activate) The blade...Why?
Ariel: Because Yando recharged it. You must touch the sunsword to the pool to become its master again. (Thundarr does so and it reactivates as he and Ookla yell in excitement)
Thundarr: (Begins cutting through the rubble with the sunsword) HA!!! As mighty as ever! We will be free before Yando takes his vengeance on the villagers.
This episode is set in the ruins of Beverly Hills and Hollywood, California.
An unusual form of weather is seen in this episode. It's a negastorm that produces a red chemical rain, as well as scarlet negative lightning. The latter is powerful enough to weaken the power of Thundarr's sunsword.
Post-apocalyptic Animal Species: Giant Skydragon, similar to a giant dragonfly that can be ridden on by those who train it. Thundarr's group is also attacked by another giant insect, as well as a huge, green reptilian rabbit with eyebeams.
Yando wasn't a real wizard. His magic is based on Old Earth prop and illusionary magic of legerdemain. At the end, he's revealed as Walmac, the village scholar, who studied the stage magic in detail in efforts to threaten the village of Beverly.
