    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (7)

      • Goof: Lady Penelope addresses the psychiatrist as "Mr. Korda", instead of "Doctor".

      • After the rescue, everyone involved goes back to Lady Penelope's house, but if there was another call, there'd only be Alan on the base to deal with it.

      • Brains says that the bridge controller can't contact International Rescue on "that thing" referring to his old radio equipment, but TB5 is supposed to be able to pick signals from anything, even walkie-talkies.

      • The interior of the bridge control room doesn't match the exterior views of it. Not only is the interior not wide enough to span the roadway (as it had to be for the external lift to lead directly into it) but there are circular windows on the back wall that aren't visible from the outside.

      • TB2's wreckage grabber changes from being semi-circular with flat edges as TB2 flies over the water to being angular with teeth as it is dropped down to the rocket.

      • International Rescue saved the two astronauts, yet no one mentioned what became of the transporter driver or the occupants of the police cars which were also on the bridge when it collapsed.

      • Thunderbird 4's engine makes a very deep buzzing sound, rather than the normal high-pitched hum, in this episode.

    • QUOTES (1)

      • Jeff: Alright Gordon, go to your room. Either you or Virgil has eaten the transmitter.

Gordon: Oh father, I'd know if I'd eaten a transmitter!

Jeff: Go to your room, Gordon, and let's have no more of this childishness!

    • NOTES (6)

      • The puppet used for Frank was previously used as Captain Hansen in "Trapped in the Sky" while the Bill puppet was previously used as Chuck Taylor in "End of the Road" and as Reynolds in "Pit of Peril"

      • The Martian Probe transporter vehicle would later reappear as one of the International Rescue pod vehicles seen parked on Tracy Island in "Cry Wolf".

      • The music used for the part where the MSP crosses the bridge is called "March of the Oysters" and was originally composed by Barry Gray for the Stingray episode Secret of the Giant Oyster. It also crops up in 30 Minutes After Noon, The Impostors, The Cham-Cham and Security Hazard (Day flashback).

      • Dr Korda must have the same taste as the Hood, as the statue that appears in his office also appears in the Hood's temple.

      • Kyrano does not appear in this episode.

      • Although filmed as a 25-minute episode, it had to be brought up to 50 minutes afterwards. Some of the added footage included Brains being on vacation at the time in England.
