Am I the only one annoyed with the fact that Pumyra double-crossed Lion-O? I know it's because he abandoned her, but he still didn't deserve that!

The battle for the Tech Stone commences in Part II of Season 1's 4th Two Parter/the Season 1 Finale!

*This is the 6th episode to begin with a previous episode recap and the episode title "in" the episode.

*We begin with Tygra complaining about how their situation "stinks", only for Vultaire to think he meant the literal smell; that was pretty funny I admit. Vultaire mentions that they normally would escort guests off by airship, but he's not doing that this time due to Pumyra's actions in Part I.

*The Cats try to plead with Vultaire to spare them, but he still refuses...until one of his soldiers tells him an invasion fleet is coming! Just as Lion-O predicted, Mumm-Ra is on his way! For the sake of his City, Vultaire agrees to spare them and let them help, all while stating the old saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".

*Before they prepare a counter attack, Lion-O scolds Pumyra for trying to take the Tech Stone by force and states he needs to know she's on their side. She answers that she "serves [her] king and master". I get her calling him her king, but "master"? Hmm...

*The Cats agree to attack the fleet on Avista itself, while Vultaire and his soldiers attack from the sky. Tygra joins Vultaire for the sky assult, to the latter's dismay.

*Vultaire and the sky fleets "code names" remind me of the "code names" for the Rebel fleet in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. As mentioned in Part I, Avista City is a lot like Cloud City from Empire Strikes Back. I love the merged Star Wars references!

*The battle on Avista is such a visual masterpiece! Tygra proves to be more competent in sky battle strategy then Vultaire, even the other Birds think so! Snarf's freakout was also hilarious!

*Woah, Mumm-Ra's Storm Charger can fly! Vultaire is impressed with the Evil Overlord's superior technology...Mumm-Ra then hacks the communication systems to offer the Birds to join him or die...

*Vultaire betrays his own kind and joins Mumm-Ra, all while repeating to Addicus what he said to the Cats earlier! It makes sense, giving the fact that he is the New Series Version of Vultureman.

*Aww, poor Snarf is stuck in a pipe! The Crew did mention he was on the tubby side.

*Pumyra convinces Lion-O to join her into the Tech Stone chamber to protect it, as the forces of Mumm-Ra land on Avista!

*Meanwhile back on the surface, WilyKat and WilyKit meet up with the Fish People from Ramlak Rising! Ah, I see what those two are planning...

*Vultaire meets up with his new allies, the General Trio, to dispose of Tygra! Such an awesome sight to see the 4 "prominent" Mutants all together in the New Series!

*Back in Avista, Lion-O and Pumyra enter the Tech Stone chamber...only for Mumm-Ra to arrive and electrocute the latter! He also proclaims the Sword of Omens to be a cheap knock off of the Sword of Plun-Darr and prepares to battle the Lord of the ThunderCats!

*Mumm-Ra's transformation sequence isn't a dramatic as the one from Birth of the Blades, but it is much better then the one from Journey to the Tower of Omens.

*Kaynar is about to deliver a blow to Tygra...luckily Snarf breaks free and distracts Kaynar! I don't know about anyone else, but I couldn't help but shout "FALCON PUNCH!" when Panthro hit Kaynar!

*Back on the surface, WilyKat and WilyKit discuss how they met up with the Elephants again! They also mention the other allies they've made in the Fish People, the Berbils and the Dogs! Yep, it's pretty clear what they're planning...

*Lion-O and Mumm-Ra continue their battle in Avista, but the latter swipes the Tech Stone, causing Avista to make a "Colony Drop"!

*Panthro telling Tygra he'll have time to hit Vultaire latter when they're not in danger of crashing was hilarious!

*Lion-O manages to knock the Tech Stone out of Mumm-Ra's hands and it lands near Pumyra who regains consciousness! Lion-O tries to catch Pumyra up to speed and instruct her what to do. Pumyra says Lion-O is her King...but Mumm-Ra is her master! Holy crap, Pumyra turned to the Dark Side!

*With the Tech Stone in hand, Mumm-Ra uses it to gain access to the Armor of Plun-Darr, which we saw him use against Leo in Legacy!

*Mumm-Ra reveals that Pumyra has been a mole ever since Lion-O met her in The Pit! Flashbacks to the Fall of Thundera reveal that Pumyra (who the Crew confirmed to be a solider in the New Series, as opposed to the medic she was in the Original Series) was crushed under rocks and weakly saw Lion-O, Tygra and Cheetara leave the ruined Thundera unaware of her presence. Her sheer hatred claim to Mumm-Ra's attention and he "pulled an Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious" on her just as he did with Grune! That explains perfectly why Pumyra's personality seemed random in the past episodes, talk about "Fridge Brilliance"!In the Original Series, Grune was the only treacherous Cat, the Crew certainly deserves props for not being afraid to take unexpected routes in their version of the Series!

*Tygra, Cheetara and Panthro manage to show up...but Mumm-Ra is easily able to put them in a bind, as well!

*The Kittens return declaring that they got help from past allies...and Tunar's 2nd-in-command appears! Lion-O is fearful that only he showed up, but the Kittens assure their King that he just didn't want to travel the same way and proceed to say the magic word...

*The rest of the Fish People, the Berbils, Anet, Aburn, some other Elephants, Dobo and some other Dogs emerge from the Forver Bag! No one can call The Forever Bag a "filler episode" now! Anet mentions that the Cats have helped them about before and that they should return the favor!

*Seeing the Cat's allies join forces was a Crowning Moment of Awesome! While they certainly caught Mumm-Ra off guard, it's clear that they still can't overpower him!

*With Avista's crashing coming closer, Mumm-Ra decides to make his exit with the Tech Stone in hand and Pumyra by his side! Like Birth of the Blades, Mumm-Ra has won another battle! The stakes have risen further!

*Fortunately, Panthro manages to cause Avista to land safely! His comment about not knowing how to fly, but knowing how to land was funny!

*The Berbils help out the Birds by beginning to repair Avista so that it can fly without the need of the Tech Stone. WilyKit notices Lion-O solely sitting in an isolated manner and decides to talk to him...

*Lion-O criticizes himself for being fooled by Pumyra and for loosing the Tech Stone to Mumm-Ra and deems himself a failure. WilyKit comforts her King by telling him that, although Mumm-Ra won this battle, Lion-O still succeed in one aspect of their mission...by uniting some of the Animals of Third Earth and the Birds joining them now that their leader, Vultaire, betrayed them! At least it can be said that this episode had a "Bitter-Sweet Ending"!

*WilyKit's whole pep-talk to Lion-O was a Crowning Moment of Heart Warming and was a nice nod to their friendship shown in the Trials of Lion-O Two Parter where she was the only one to have faith in his return.

*After her pep talk, Kit encourages Lion-O to lead the search for the Blue Power Stone and hands him the Sword of Omens. With his family, friends and other allies smiling in confidence to him, the Lord of the ThunderCats regains his self-confidence and makes the TunderCats battle cry!

Another awesome episode! Having 4 of the 5 "Mutants" together in the New Series was a great moment! Mumm-Ra got to win another battle and Pumyra's turn to the Dark Side was a real surprise! The New ThunderCats Series certainly is one of my favorite shows and I hope the 2nd Season gets made! I know that the next 26 aren't in production yet, but Dan Norton (the art director) has assured fans that they are no nails in the coffin yet, either. As long as there is a chance it'll go on, I'll do my part to help it continue!

You need to understand that Pumyra DIED because of Lion-O's negligence, and that Mumm-Ra revived her. Her loyalties are really not that surprising.

Pumyra betrayed the Thundercats?! Oh, well, I never liked her and I never thought Lion-O/Pumyra would work out anyway. There's always that boring Mandora or that native girl from the old series (I forget her name) afterall.

Let's just hope if and when we meet Bengali, he won't be a traitor too.

Loved the episode. Pumyra turning out to be an agent of Mumuara is a big reason for my love of the episode.

I didn't see it coming at all. It was brilliantly done as well. It made sense that she would betray Lion-O, but at the same time it was hidden so well that no one saw it coming. The battle between Lion-O and Mumuara was good. The action was good, intensity was there, along with the fitting soundtrack for it. Their fights get better each time they cross paths. Vultureman character joining Mumuara waspredictable, but still fun to see all 4 of them together.

Tygra and Cheetara's back and forth about their relationship being about them saving each other was pretty funny. The kids totally saved the day. I was worried they didn't get anyone to helpbecause no one was with them after they left the Elephants. Totally forgot about the magic bag and damn did itcome inhandy. I was wondering how they were going to gethelpwhen they needed a plane to get there.

Mumuara won another one and got the stone, broke Lion-O's heart, and got a new general to boot. I loved his armor made a comeback. The stones seem to respond to Lion-O judging bywhat Mumuara's surprise at how the armor came around Lion-O's arm. That seems like it will be a bigger plot point in the future. It suggests the stones are sentitent and opposeMumuara's evil ambition. Panthro's landing comment was comic gold. Tygra's line on how Lion-O was never alone as long as he had them made me smile. It reminds me of the mid-season finale when Tygra told Lion-O he would always have his back no matter what. I have mentionit againPumyraplot was brilliant. She fought in the war and died seeing her king leave the city in ruins. Her haterd was so powerful that Mumuara was able to revive her and used her against Lion-O.What interested me was she saidshe wasserved her king and her master. Her master is Mumuara, but she stll acknowledges Lion-O as her king. Have to wonder if Lion-O has sowed the seeds of her rebellion against Mumuara or will she be full on villain.

At the end of the episode I wanted more. Iwanted next week to come to see the next episode only to realize this was the season finale. A show leaving you wanting more in a good way is perfect. I cannot wait for season 2.Isevery season finale going to end with Lion-O getting his heartbroke lol? Mid-season finale had Cheetara reveal her feelings for Tygra and the actual season finale had Pumyra reveal she was aservent to his greatest enemy. Did anyone else get creeped out when banged face called Pumyra beloved?

I just can't believe they sank the Lion-O/Pumyra ship just like they did Lion-O/Cheetara. I was so sure that this ship was gonna stick, i even saved the online screencaps of them sharing tender moments (I was that sure).

But now, i just don't know what to think about the future. A lot of fans think another good choice for Lion-O is Willa of the Warrior Maidens. But, honestly, i just don't see that.

Part of me hopes that Pumyra will be rescued and the L/P ship will be back up and running. But a more logical side of me tells me that even if Pumyra is rescued, there's no way she and Lion-O could be a couple, not after this episode.

You underestimate the power of love. Heck, it might even be that love that saves her. Nothing is off limits at this point.

Anyway, I really loved this episode. The twist came absolutely out of nowhere but once it was explained I had no problems with it whatsoever.

I loved the twist. I was already loving the episode before, but when Pumyra gave the stone to Mumm-Ra I had kittens. All the signs were there too. I was liking the Lion-O and Pumyra couple, but it didn't affect my view on the episode. She may ave some actual feelings for Lion-O and change sides. If we learned anything this season it is that Lion-O affects everyone around him. But I wouldn't mind if Willa was introduced and became Lion-O's love interest. The human element as to come into play eventually. It wouldn't be the first show to have interspecies relationship on television.

We have to give the new series credit for the build up of thehaterd between Lion-O and Mumm-Ra. It is getting personal for both parties. It feels more intense than it did in the original series and has bit more build up to it.

    mind = blown

what a twist ! Explains pumyra's 'rash choices' and her aggression and the 'love/flirting' is a ruse ? faked to fool lion-o ?

mumra had to win the stone basically so mumra has more than lion-o to be evenly matched would still be ok so the last one is anybody's guess

if you think back to the flashback of lion-o's ancestor he only had the sword and the gauntlet to start with and knocked the soul stone off mumra's gauntlet yet he still won...so even if mumra gets the last one lion-o being good and all will still win possibly breaking pumrya's spell / curse or something else allows lion-o to see the truth.

i don't think pumrya died she merely was injured trapped and seriously pissed off maybe close to deathbut she was alive and mumra said he heard her anger her vengance her need to revenge...

Pumyra said it herself to LionO "you will DIE AS I DID: scared and alone." She did in fact die, otherwise Mumm-Ra never would have been able to find her in the well of souls.

That little fact is the nice spice on the tragic Lion-O/Pumyra ship. Even if she does let go of hatred, actually falls in love with Lion-O, he forgives her, and she redeems herself Mumm-Ra could possibly undo his magic and end her life again. Mumm-Ra so deliciously evil.

Everyone, calm down! For know, we don't know if wheter or not there will be a Season 2 of Thundercats. Don't just assume it's over already! As for the "Lion-O doesn't get the girl" scenario, that's just plain sad.

The expression "what a twist" fits perfectly here. I never would have guessed Pumyra as a traitor. It's going to be really interesting to see how this plot will advance in the future.
