they are making a remake of this classic show.

here is the first picture i have seen of liono

i am holding out hope for the series as it has the possibility of being great, although being completely unnecessary

This is so odd, I came to the forum to post a thread to ask if anyone knew if they were making a remake, then I found this. *spooky*.
Where did you find this info?

    Quote:

WB animation is remaking the Thundercats as an animated TV series.
The animation ****is whimsical, Americanized-anime, along the lines of Teen Titans.
The setting is modern-day Earth, in a major city (possibly LA)
    The Thundercats are all teenagers.
Their leader is Snarf (!) who is now a mystic with a "third" eye.
Each of the Thundercats has a weapon with an "Eye of Thunderra" and transformative powers (not just Lion-O)
When they aren't fighting evil, the Thundercats play together as a rock band. That's not a typo, or a joke. They are rockin' cats in their present form.
    Mum-Ra now has wings..

Seas of Thunderra, this can't be happening! This has to be some late April's Fools prank.

This is a long standing (almost a year old) joke presented as news on the Ain't It Cool website.

Well if they pull of the movie expect a crappy remake show. Look at what Transformers is getting for next year. >_>

Currently in production is Thundercats: the movie and my favourite character from the series is being portrayed by Wesley Snipes (YEAH! I can't wait)

i'm sure whatever they do, they'll make it as good as the old one thundercats never be boring. the new guy doesn't look very convincing though.

Lion-O looks like a f*cking disgrace. Why must all the big companies ruin the classics like that. I wish they would just be left alone as classics.
