Episode Summary

EDIT
Micrits, a tiny race of human like figures happen to live right outside Cats Lair. Unaware of their existance, Lion-O manages to continuously step on their village (keep in mind they are the size of toy figures) and destroy their homes. Upset at this disrespect, the Micrits decide to take a stand and manage to trap Lion-O. With the Thundercat Lord in trouble, the mutants attack Cats Lair. After much talk, Lion-O manages to convince the Micrits that he is a "good guy" and convinces them to let him go to help save his friends. Once again, Lion-O saves the day, and befriends the Micritsmoreless

  • Tired of "the giants" destroying their homes, the Micrits capture Lion-O and sabotage the Thundercats' weapons, leaving them wide open for a Mutant attack.

    9.0
I enjoyed this episode, because it introduces new, interesting inhabitants of Third Earth, and is full of action.

The Micrits are really interesing people, but I'm not sure if they were ever used again in later episodes. Somehow they are able to make strong, glowing strands of Thundranium that are able to hold Lion-O down and weaken him.

The battle in Cat's Lair is pretty exciting. The Thundercats are able to hold their ground, but they don't gain any at all until Lion-O arrives. Wilykit exhibits that strange forward-spinning maneuver she possesses in this episode. Animation is quite superb as the Mutants are driven out of Cat's Lair. Vultureman and Jackalman's expressions are really funny.

All-around a great episode with non-stop action and suspense. And the writers even throw in a moral: be kind to your neighbors.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • In the beginning of the episode, when a micrit building gets ruined by the Thudertank, the micrits' voices are suspiciously snarflike.

    • Goof: When Lion-O wakes up and finds three Micrits on his chest, the Micrit in the middle who is kneeling has a moustache. But when the view changes to see the Micrits from Lion-O's perspective, the Micrit in the middle has no facial hair.

    • Vultureman destroyed all of the Mutants' weapons and vehicles in the previous episode, yet they miraculously are used in this episode to attack the Thundercats' Lair.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Panthro: Now, how about those new Thundrillium deposits you found?
Lion-O: Right. It's straight across there. (Points across the Micrits territory) But we'll take a slight detour from now on. After all, being considerate to your neighbors is such a small thing, right?

    • Micrit: How can I trust you if I free you?
Lion-O: I give you my word as the Lord of the ThunderCats.
      Micrit: Word? What's that?
      Lion-O: It's a promise.
Micrit: A promise can be broken.
Lion-O: Not if we trust each other.

    • Lion-O: I didn't realize this area was inhabited.
Micrit: Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there.
