Bolo Whip Powers: (First Use) By turning the end of the handle like a nob, Tygra can light up the balls at the end of the whip to make a lantern. Like fire, it needs oxygen to stay lit.
Goof: After Lion-O summons the Thundercats during the Mutant attack, the Mutants aim their Thundranium weapons at the Eye of Thundera. It begins to warp. In the next moment we see the ThunderTank drive by but there's nothing wrong with the Eye. But when we go to a close-up of Panthro, he makes the comment that it looks like real trouble.
When the Mutants waited in the cave to trap Lion-O, their eyes glowed yellow. This is the first time we see the Mutants eyes behave in such a way.
Mumm-Ra threatend to destroy Castle Plun-Darr and banish the Mutants from the face of Third Earth if they failed in their attempt in this episode to capture the Sword of Omens. The Mutants failed, as usual, but Mumm-Ra did not follow through on his threats.
Goof: When Jackalman pulls the Sword of Omens from Lion-O's claw shield, the blade is short. Then in the next few shots it is extended.
Sword Powers: (First Use) The sword has the power to counter the effects of the bolo whip's power of invisibility, making the person visible again. Also, the sword has the capability of levitating Lion-O in the air as though he were on an invisible platform.
Goof: After Lion-O summoned the other Thundercats, Vultureman used the nose diver to shoot fire up at him. When it goes to a close-up of him, the sword flashes by and the Eye is closed when it should be open. For the rest of the fight, the eye is shown as closed when it should be open.
Tygra discovered in this episode that his weapon can be rendered useless if overpowered. The power to make both he and Nayda visible overpowered it so that it would not work to make them visible again. However, as he uses the whip in future episodes, he apparently was able to fix the problem.
Each Thundercats' dream self was stored in a separate jar except for the Thunderkittens who shared a jar.
Tygra breaks the giant's club early in the fight. Later in the same battle, we suddenly see the giant wielding the club again, as if nothing ever happened to it.
This is the first episode in which the Thunderkittens drive the ThunderTank. They drive it to save Lion-O, who ended up being weaponless with Slithe pointing a crossbow at his throat.
After Lion-O and Snarf talked with the Thunderkittens, he said he was going to pay Slithe a visit. The Thunderkittens jumped on their spaceboards and appeared to follow, but later when he arrived at Castle Plun-Darr and summoned the Thundercats with the Eye of Thundera, the Thunderkittens were not with him nor heading in his direction.
After Wilykat used Wilykit's sneeze pellets to make the Vortex blow them out, it should have immediately began sucking in again. However, it neither blew out or sucked in allowing the Thunderkittens to talk with Lion-O and Snarf just outside without any danger. Apparantly they weren't afraid it would start up again as they lingered around to chat.
It was never explained how the orb's radioactivity could be used to destroy Third Earth.
Mumm-Ra can fly and seeing as how he was carrying the radioactive orb, it would have made more sense for him to fly to the top of his pyramid, but instead he climbed using only one hand to the top and still managed to outrun the ThunderTank.
The spaceship carrying the radioactive material looks just like the Kymera's spaceship in the previous episode, yet it is not the same ship.
This is the first episode in which Lion-O growls.
At the beginning of the episode, Lion-O told Snarf that the Thundercats were up in the Feliner leaving the lair empty for just the two of them for three more days. However, when the Feliner returned, the Thunderkittens were not with them and no mention was ever made as to where they were.
Goof: When the Kymera saw Snarf on the screen, Snarf made it across the bridge towards Cats Lair. But when he fired the guns at Snarf, he was suddenly back on the bridge as though he hadn't made it across yet.
According to Tygra, the ThunderTank has an air drive which would enable it to fly.
