This game turned out pretty much how you would have expected a game between a 2-12 team visiting a 10-4 team currently leading their division. The Pittsburgh Steelers simply dominated the Carolina Panthers from the opening snap and never looked back. Rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen just got annihilated by the stifling Steelers defense and probably wishes he could have headed back to Notre Dame where the opposition was a little bit easier.

Thursday Night Football has had a lot of disappointing games this season, and something tells me that Saturday's season finale will not be stellar by any means either.moreless

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Pittsburgh Coach Mike Tomlin: They were stacking the line of scrimmage to stop the run so, when you see that, you've got to take what they give you. Guys got open and Ben (Roethlisberger) distributed the football to them.
      .
Pittsburgh Coach Mike Tomlin: It's good to be in the clubhouse before everyone else this weekend with a necessary win.

    • Pittsburgh Safety Ryan Clark: They're 2-13 for a reason, and you've got to keep them that way. You don't want to give them any confidence they can play it down to the wire, so we put it away early.
      .
Pittsburgh Safety Ryan Clark: It's definitely playoff football right now. We want that bye, at least one game on our home field.

    • Carolina Quarterback Jimmy Clausen: I thought offensively we came out fast, running the ball well, got a few first downs quick. And just from there, I don't know what happened.
