The announcer said that this was the best NFL Network game of the year and it very well may have been. This was supposed to be a game between two potential playoff teams and it ended up being an irrelevant game, but a highly entertaining one. Both teams finished the game with their third string QBs in there, but what a back and forth affair it was. The Cardinals ended up hitting a game-winning field goal, but not before an impressive 4th and 15 Skelton to Fitzgerald conversion.

The NBA may own Christmas Day, but the one NFL game was probably better than most, if not all of the basketball games today.moreless

    • (on the end of his streak of consecutive games catching at least two passes at 97, the fourth-longest such streak in NFL history)
Arizona Wide Receiver Larry Fitzgerald: About four years ago I might have been pouting on the sidelines at that time, but I really wasn't too frustrated, honestly. I saw the calls and they were trying to get stuff all day.

    • (on his placekicker David Bueller)
Dallas Interim Coach Jason Garrett: He has been a fairly consistent kicker at times and at other times he has missed some kicks that he is capable of making.

    • (on his missed extra point with 1:46 left in the game which left the Dallas lead at 26-24)
Dallas Placekicker David Buehler: I'm not feeling too good. I feel bad for Stephen (McGee). He drove the team down there and got the touchdown. PATs are something that is something automatic. You have to put them through the uprights. I think I just rushed it a little bit.

    • Arizona Quarterback John Skelton: Really, nothing's bigger than beating the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Day right now. Whiz (coach Ken Whisenhunt) was shaking my hand before the game and I said, 'We have one last gift to unwrap.' Sure enough, it took the last minute, but we got it.
