Doug's storyline was funny here, with the breaking of the fourth wall (admitting there are only three walls everywhere, mocking the fake brand names on the food labels and saying how they censored his dialogue.) This was just about the most clever thing that this program has done in as long as I can remember.
And I did like the continuity with Eddie and the new principal clashing heads, and the possibility of a serialized story arc with Joy and Eddie working together, and the crack about mistaking Desperate Housewives in HD for the Golden Girls. But the rest of the episode was pretty forgettable.
