Episode Summary

Joy discovers that Eddie has been hiding his favorite meatball-sandwich shop from her. This helps her come to the realization that they can't keep secrets from each other anymore because they've been married so long and seem to know everything about each other. Eddie's explanation for liking bacon on his sandwich because once he accidentally had some stuck in his mouth from breakfast was great. We eventually duck a little bit deeper in Eddie's problems as we found out that he is not telling Joy about his beloved sandwich.

Does anybody else notice that Kenny seems to act like Kel from Kenan and Kel? Maybe it's just me. I thought they revealed the "secret" way too early. I didn't care for the bleaching the mustache joke. That's been done before, including on Garrett's former sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond.

Why have the Woodcocks role been downgraded so much? I'm glad both Eddie Kaye Thomas and Nick Bakay got screen time, and the new Indian guy shouting "secret jet pack" was funny, but supporting characters deserve to be in more than one scene per episode.

This was not as good as the first episode of the hour, but still an acceptable program. No really laugh out loud quotes, but still better than many other network comedies.moreless
