    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (4)

      • In "Betsy Ross Flies her Freak Flag" when the soldiers are firing their pistols they fired of multiple rounds from one pistol and in those days a pistol could only fire one round per pistol.

      • I was watching "Every Poe has a Silver Lining" and found this goof. When Tudrussel, Larry, and Otto first meet Poe, Poe says that Halloween is tomorrow night. When the trio are sitting on Poe's couch, Tuddrussel says that they have been there for days. When Poe goes crazy, it is Halloween night.

      • In "Betsy Ross Flies Her Freak Flag": 1. The sign to the Magical Farm Place Farm has hazy smoke around it, and all of the solders, including the one guy who introduces the Time Squad to Betsy who indiscriminately looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo- has very pink rimmed eyes.

        2. Betsy Ross gives Washington a plate of homemade brownies, but they were all eaten by Tuddrussel. Because of the fact that Betsy and everyone else has pink eyes and a chilled out disposition, and they all live in a smoky hippie commune, one could assume that Tuddrussel just ate an entire batch of pot brownies!

      • In "Every Poe Has A Silver Lining": After Poe destroys all the cheerful decorations in his living room and the camera pans up to a now-depressed Poe (now wearing a black suit) who is reciting the dreary poem about the cake, his shadow's lips don't move until he says, "Indeed".

    • QUOTES (12)

      • Tuddrussel: I don't eat anything pink!

      • Betsy: (talking about the war) That's what this whole thing is...a farce!
        Buck: (snickers) She said 'farce'!
(a few minutes later, after Betsy's argument with Washington)
Buck: (laughing quietly) ...Farce. (walks off-screen)

      • Otto: Hey, that's Betsy Ross! George Washington called on her to sew America's first flag.
        Adams: Yo! She's hot!

      • From: "Betsy Ross Flies Her Freak Flag"
Tuddrussle (to Samuel Adams): "And no tea parties! None of the foo foo kind anyway."

      • From "Betsy Ross Flies Her Freak Flag":

        Washington: What's all this
        (Betsy Ross turns around)
Betsy: What's all this? These two guys from Boston showed up and the next thing you know, everyone went crazy!
(shot cut to Adams and Hancock holding coffee mugs)
Adams: You, Hancock, let's us kick some Redcoat butt!
Washington: Now *this* looks like an army!
Betsy: But these men are horrible!
        Larry: Indeed.

      • From "Every Poe Has A Silver Lining"
Larry: Ahh Poe... Pull thy beak from out thy heart and take thy form from off my door Quoth the Raven "Nevermore"
Tuddrussel: Man you really are moody.
        Larry: Ohh Shut Up!

      • Betsy Ross: Washington? Ugh, that guy is so uptight!
Otto: What?! He's the father of our country!
Betsy Ross: Hey, I don't need my father tellin' me what to do!
Hippie: Yeah, don't trust *anyone* over 30, man!

      • from "Every Poe Has A Silver Lining"
Poe (putting a hat on a moose): There you go, crispy moose. It's party time!

      • from "Every Poe Has A Silver Lining"
Larry (solemn): The cemetary. The Great Equalizer. The inevitable fate of all men great and small. (Sighs): Oh, the futility of life.
        Tuddrussel (sickened): Oh, man!
        Otto: I feel sick

      • from "Betsy Ross Flies Her Freak Flag"
        Betsy: Washington's so up-tight, man.

      • from "Every Poe Has a Silver Lining"
Edgar: Just be creative! [blows some glitter into Larry head-light eyes]

      • from "Betsy Ross Flies Her Freak Flag"
        Tuddrussel: It stinks.
        Hippie: Oh, it's trippy
        Tuddrussel: It stinks!
        Hippie: It's trippy!
(Betsy talks over the two arguing and doesn't see Tuddrussel punching the hippie after he says the music stinks)

    • NOTES (4)

      • Ultimately, Otto's coffee solution, from "Tea Time for Time Squad", killed two birds with one stone: accomplishing the mission for Samuel Adams and, later, Betsy Ross.

      • In "Every Poe Has A Silver Lining" (near the end with the pan across the destruction), note how there is a black bird on top of a door before the camera pans to Poe in a black suit. This is a reference to Poe's "The Raven" (the bird above the chamber door).

      • Alternate titles to "Betsy Ross Flies Her Freak Flag" include "Hooray For The Red, White, and Tye-Dyed", and "Betsy Ross and Her Freak Flag".

      • The ending of Betsy Ross Flies Her Freak Flag revisits the two headbutting goons from Tea Time for Time Squad.

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Since the new cheerful Edger Allen Poe turned "The Tell Tale Heart" into "The Sweetheart Tale" and the "Pit and the Pendulum" into the "Posie and the Pencil". Most likely, "The Bear" is a cheerful rewrite of "The Raven".

      • Every Poe has a silver lining

Title pun: Every cloud has a silver lining.
