    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • In Nobel Peace Surprise, 5 historic villains were awarded by Alfred Nobel, and help him try to destroy the Time Squads. They are Black Bart, Jack the Ripper, Lizzie Borden, Rasputin, and Mrs. O'Leary's cow [The cow that started The Great Chicago Fire].

While the writers took care to insert people who were alive in the 19th century, wether or not they lived or died in the same time frame is a whole different story- the episode takes place in "1800"

Alfred Nobel wasn't born until 1833, and did not establish the Nobel prize until 1895. In fact, none of the "past recipients" of his Evil Prize would have been born until at least the early 1820's.
Even if the the goof had not happened and the computer had said 1895, Black Bart and Mrs. O'Leary's cow (which is only a cruel speculation story of the times) would have been long dead.

      • It's revealed that Sheila did at one point go by the name Sheila Tuddrussel, but then took back her maiden name, "Sternwell" after the divorce was final.

      • There is a goof where Larry chides Tuddrussel for throwing a man down a well because he thought he insulted him when he actually politely asked him good morning. "Guten Morgan'' means good morning in German, not Swedish.

    • QUOTES (6)

      • Sheila: So, I see you're still "borrowing" the orphan.
        Tuddrussel: Well. . .yeah, so?

      • Tuddrussel: (after Sheila and XJ-5 take down Nobel) Oh come on, does the solution to every problem have to involve ''violence'' with you two?
        Everyone: -dead silence-
        Tuddrussel: what?

      • Nobel: Yes, that's right, I've had a little trouble figuing out what I wanted do do with my life. But now I've found my true calling- to be EVIL! (wields a long board with one little nail in it)
Otto: Look out! He's got a board, and ITS GOT A NAIL IN IT!

      • Tuddrussel: First of all, I'd like to thank my friends Larry and Otto, love you guys. And finally, to Sheila, my ex-wife, we did it baby! WE DID IT!
Sheila: (who just appeared) BUCK! What the heck are you doing?
        Tuddrussel: (nervously) GASP- h-h-honey!
        Sheila: Don't you 'honey' me! You're committing a code 656, aren't you?
        Tuddrussel: Naw! no...what's a 656?

      • Nobel: Wow! You just threw the local bread maker down that well for no reason!

      • Larry: Why, it was Taft, Sherman, and Knox?
Taft: Yes, and we would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling Time Squadders!
Tuddrussel: How'd you guys pull it off?
Taft: With rubber masks, you idiot.
Tuddrussel: Oh yeah! (looks at mask) Ahh!

    • NOTES (2)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Whitehouse Weirdness is played like a Scooby Doo, Where Are You? episode, including several tropes from the series including the original music; the hallway of doors leading to different doors gag, getting chased by the "monsters", making an an elaborate trap, and of course the famous saying, "I would have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for those meddling..."

Also has allusions to the classic comedy film- Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein. Where the Time Squad has terrifying encounters with Frankenstein's Monster and Count Dracula
