  • This was the first Tiny Toons episode I saw. I was barely born when I saw this. Thanks to my Dad taping it.

Everything about this episode was great and memorable. When I first saw it I thought it was a pure gem of animation. So the story was pretty good. Characters were great. Sneezer's cameos were fantastic. And the dance Buster did was hilarious. But I am sad. After years of watching it, I can't find the tape. But I still can remember the story by heart. The prom is coming up and everyone's got a date. Except Elmyra. She got dumped by Monty, which really pissed me off. So Buster and Babs torture Monty and finally gets him to dance with Elmyra. Pretty good don't you think.moreless

    • Elmyra: Ooh, they're playing our song!
Montana Max: We don't have a song! We don't even have a dirge!

    • Elmyra: Why, Monty, what's the matter?
Montana Max: You're what's the matter! You're a complete waste of space! You have a personality that rivals spore mold! On the evolutionary chart, you rank someplace between head cheese and toaster ovens! You're a cruise to nowhere! A nail! A void! A zero!
Elmyra: Just what are you trying to say?
Montana Max: ARRRRGH! I DON'T LIKE YOU! READ MY LIPS: I DON'T LIKE YOU!!!!!!
      (later...)
Montana Max: Y'know, you're not really like a toaster oven, more like a microwave; and I'm sorry I called you spore mold, and maybe if no one was around, I'd consider dancing with you.
      Elmyra: Friend?
Montana Max: Yeah, okay, I guess.
Elmyra: Oh, Monty-wonty, I knew it! I knew it! You do love me! Let's cut a rug, buggie!
Montana Max: Me and my big mouth!

    • Fifi: Hmph! I zink ze whole idea of proms and dates eez a lot of sexeest, outdated, how you say, hooey!
Hamton: Gosh, that's too bad, Fifi. I was kinda hoping you'd be my date. Oh, well.
Fifi: Bless you, mon petite bacon of pig! I thought no one would ask me!

    • GoGo: Coo-coo! Coo-coo! Day before prom night drives everyone crazy! Coo-coo! Coo-coo!

  • NOTES (6)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • When Montana Max lustfully reacts to Dizzy Devil's sexy date, his head briefly morphs into a howling cartoonish wolf. This is a reference to the classic 1943 Tex Avery cartoon Red Hot Riding Hood by MGM. A similar gag Monty performed was also done later in the 1994 Jim Carrey film The Mask.
