  • Pound for pound funnier than the average sitcom...and most of the above average ones too.

You gotta watch this one as a double bill with The Pendulum. It's a full hour of Titus...and you won't be sorry.

This episode...these episodes really get to the heart of the overall story. The relationship of Christopher and his father. You see the love...and the animosity as it works both ways....but...you really see the love....you find it in these episodes. That's pretty important in making Ken a real person and not just...well, not just a jerk.

I loved having Ken in the "neutral space". A man desperately trying to come to terms with fatherhood and loss. And Oh my goodness! It's a comedy!

Yeah, you laugh too. Imagine that. A show that takes chances and pushes the envelope...blurs the line between drama and comedy. A show that can take you to these places...these dark places of human tragedy...and make you laugh!

This show is what being human is about. And these two episodes...this one in particular...are what this show is about.

    Long Live Titus!moreless

    • Ken: Okay, God, I'm willing to give up everything to get my son back. Okay, no more beer. (finishes glass of beer) Beer's gone. (finishes cigarette) Cigarette? Cigarette's gone. Your turn. (a beat) Well, I tried.

    • Ken: Tommy's not a fruit, but he hangs out in the orchard. He's not a fruit because I keep calling him a fruit, which makes him suppress his fruit-like tendencies. It takes a village to raise a straight kid.

    • Tommy: Wait, don't we have a say? Dave's his brother, and I'm his special friend.
Ken: I know - it took two paramedics to stop you from giving him mouth-to-mouth.
Tommy: You think I'm gay? You think I'm gay?!? Say it again and I'll kill you!!!

    • Ken: No parent should have to see his child die, it's not right. Don't take him, I'm the one who drinks and smokes and eats pork rinds. What do I gotta do? Take me...in a minute. (drinks his beer)

    • Ken Titus: I've loved a lot of women. But Erin is the only woman I ever liked. She broke her leg not running from a burglar but chasing one. She's a keeper. Someone you can spend six or seven years of your life with.
