  • First episode i saw of TJ Hooker.

This was the very first episode of TJ Hooker i saw. This episode had me hooked right from the beginning. It has a mix of action and an interesting storyline. The characters personalities seemed easy to understand and connect with. Espically the partnership between hooker and Rarmarno. This was an interesting episode and the writers had obviously put a strong emphasis on emotion. This episode made me fall in love with TJ hooker and made me want to watch more, it felt addictive and not just like another 80's cop show. Truely brilliant. One of the best episodes of any 80's cop show. 10/10moreless
  • The "Surfside Killer" hits again and this time it's a police woman friend of Stacey's. She goes undercover to pull him out into the open.

Hooker and Romano are eating Circus Burgers and Romano complains about it. Hooker is collecting game pieces for his daughter. They get a call about an attack by the Marina Club Apartment complex. They find a dead woman who was a police woman. Hooker chases the guy to the tennis courts and loses him. He is the tennis pro there. Stacey was a close friend of the dead woman named Ann Macrae. Ann was found dead with athletic tape on her body. All victims were blond and killed around the Marina. At the funeral Stacey tells Hooker she has volunteered to go undercover. Hooker is totally against it and he tells her he can't let her do it. She appreciates his concern, but she says she has to do it for Ann and herself. Hooker tells Lt. Franks he does not like the idea of Stacey going under and Franks tells him it's already been decided to do it. LAter that day Stacey arrives at the apartments. (This is the place where Stacey would live for the rest of the series). She pulls up and looks gorgeous in a purple top and short purple shorts, Wow! Greg, tennis pro is upset at Janet, a girl he used to date. She tells him it's been over for months. He pulls out a gun and looks deranged. Hooker takes Romano for some more Circus Burgers. They check in on the stake-out. They listen in on Stacey's conversation. She walks to the pool in a bikini with a jacket covering her. She heads for the pool. Then we finally see her disrobe and see her nice looking body. (This is the first time we get to see Heather in a bikini in the series). She meets a girl named Beth Arnold who also looks nice in a bikini. She knows the tennis pro Greg, and says hello as he walks by. He also talks with Stacey for a minute. Hooker and Romano go to talk with Carl Leland. He had his wife killed by the surfside killer and he now has a drinking problem. His wife was having a fling with another guy before she was killed. He tells them about tennis lessons she was taking at the Marina. Greg attacks another woman. He kills Stacey's new friend Beth Arnold. He gets away and nobody sees him. Stacey talks with Greg the next day about it. He is upset over it. He sneaks into her apartment late at night. Hooker and Romano show up and he takes off. He sees Romano in the window and starts calling her a slut as he flashes back to his old girlfriend. The next day Stacey looks over Greg's tennis log and finds out he gave lessons to all of the women who were killed. Greg sees her grabs her. He drives off with her. Hooker and Romano chase him into an old abandoned magazine tunnel at Old Fort Wilson. After some cat and mouse action, Hooker shhots him and Romano cuffs him. They get Stacey out and she hugs her dad when they get outside. Solid episode again and some extra points for Stacey wearing sexy clothes.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • After Stacy disrobes and steps into her apartment's very small shower, an unlikely blue carpet is visible in the stall under her feet.

  • QUOTES (9)

    • (Stacy has been offered a commendation)
Stacy: I really didn't expect this. In fact, I don't deserve it.
Hooker: Stacy, you were instrumental in taking down the Surfside Killer!
Stacy: Well, the truth is I made a lot of mistakes.
Hooker: We all make mistakes. You deserve it, believe me.

    • Romano: Sleeping like a pretzel is one thing, but sleeping like a pretzel when a Circus Burger does flip-flops in your belly is beyond the call of duty.
Hooker: Who said police work was easy?

    • Romano: Where do I sleep?
Stacy: There are three rooms: the bedroom, the bathroom, and the living room.
      Romano: Uh-huh.
Stacy: You have the choice of two.
Romano: Well, I am on duty and... (opens the living room curtains) ... it is a nice view. (looks at Stacy's small couch) But how am I supposed to sleep on that?
Stacy: Well, I know it may go back a while, but do you remember the fetal position?

    • (Hooker and Romano surprise Stacy at her new apartment)
      Stacy: Who is it?
Romano: Your boyfriend! And, uh (looks at Hooker) your dad.

    • Leland: Nothing's too clear anymore.
Hooker: Too much booze'll do that to ya.
Leland: I know. Jimmy, another one!

    • Hooker: Bartender. I'm looking for Carl Leland. I heard he hangs out here.
Bartender: We serve drinks here, not information. You want a drink?
      Hooker: I want Carl Leland.
      Bartender: Buzz off, cop.
Hooker: Hey, look friend, I'm in a hurry. I don't have time or patience for your smart mouth!

    • (Hooker observes the surveillance in place to protect Stacy)
Lt. Franks: All right, Hooker—you've seen, you've heard. Does everything meet with your approval?
Hooker: It never did, and I haven't changed my mind.

    • Romano: Hooker, give me a break! Circus Burgers three days in a row; you know how I feel about eatin' too much meat!
Hooker: Don't worry, Romano. Circus Burgers are 98% preservatives.

    • (Hooker and Romano listen over radio)
Stacy: He's not really my type.
Beth: Personally, I'm a leg woman. How about you?
Stacy: Well I like a man with a good—
      (radio cuts to static)
Hooker: I wouldn't even try to guess.
