Hooker and Romano foil a roberry attempt by a family. Hooker shoots the dad and Romano captures the daughter. The two sons escape. Later Hooker talks with the daughter, named Carol Ann. She won't give him any information. They find out the dad is named Henry Baker and the sons are named Freddie & Sammy. They are wanted in 5 other states for armed robbery and murder. Freddie is also wanted for rape and assault. Stacey heads off to the hospital to visit a little girl who is a friend. Hooker and Romano find out that the sons are planning an escape for their father. They race over to stop it. Stacey arrives and rides to the floor with the two sons(Stacey looks really nice, she's got on a nice tight pair of jeans, boots, and a lavender top). They make a move on her and she ignores them. They take Stacey and Fran hostage as Hooker and Romano arrive. Hooker and Romano leave and call other units for backup. Swat arrives and wants to go in. Hooker wants them to wait. Swat calls and Freddie wants to talk with Hooker. He sends down a dead security guard to show he means business. Hooker begs him to send down Stacey's friend because she needs surgery. He does not care. He wants Hooker to get them out of there. They are not getting help from the higher up's and Hooker thinks about a new plan. Stacey agress to a strip search so she can visit with the girl alone. She starts to unbutton her top and he massages her shoulders. The brother walks in to ruin it and he lets Stacey go see the little girl without going any farther(darn it!). Sammy sees the girls mother on tv begging for her daughters release. He talks to his dad about it after Stacey pressures him. The dad tells them to let her go. Hooker goes up and when they leave Swat decides to go in. Romano demands to go with them even though he does not agree with them. It does not work and Hooker is talks with the dad. Hooker tells him he's going to take the girl down and he does even as Freddie is threatening to kill them as they leave. Hooker gets Carol Ann released to help him. They send her up with the money and ride above on the car. They crash thru the ceiling and shoot it out. The sons runs off as Hooker and Romano give chase. They catch them without having to kill them. Hooker visits Fran the next day and makes a date with her. He also visits Stacey and her little girl friend. She tells him she loves him for saving her. Great episode and it would be the last time Stacey was behind the desk. The little girl in the episode was the girl who would play Chrissy in the later episodes. Heather Lockear looked so beautiful in this episode. The tease scene with her unbuttoning her top got me excited and I wanted to see more of her. I got my wish in four more episodes where she got my blood pressure boiling while dancing on stage in a skimpy outfit at the pleasure palace in the episode called "Carnal Express".moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Hooker incorrectly refers to Jennifer's stuffed toy as a teddy. In fact, Stacy had earlier delivered a stuffed puppy dog to her.

    • Captain Dennis Sheridan uncharacteristically displays a wedding ring in this episode.

    • After hearing only the kidnapper's side of the phone conversation where Hooker asks to send a doctor to tend to the dying child, Fran miraculously knows Hooker's side of the exchange and confirms that the child needs surgery immediately.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Sheridan: Now don't shatter my faith in Sergeant Hooker, or his faith in you.
Decker: Now we're running the department on faith?
Sheridan: Try it, Decker. Sometimes it works.
      Decker: Yeah, sometimes.

    • (Hooker is on the killing floor, extracting a sick child)
Hooker: I'll get you both out of here.
      Stacy: We know you will.
Fran: This may be the only time in my life I'll ever be glad you're a cop.

    • (Decker is planning an ill-advised extraction)
Decker: Hooker would do the same thing in my shoes.
Romano: No, he wouldn't! I know my partner, and I'm not just going to sit here and let you set him up.

    • Baker: You can come get the little girl, Hooker.
Hooker: I'd like to bring a doctor up, what do you say?
Baker: I say you'd better get one of those phones for the hearing impaired. I said you can get the little girl!

    • (Hooker shoots a robber in the chest and promptly cuffs him)
Henry Baker: Easy! I'm hurt! I'm hurt real bad!
      Hooker: Not nearly bad enough

  • NOTES (3)

    • German episode title: "Gefährlicher Clan", meaning "Dangerous Clan"

    • Young Jennifer Beck, who plays the seriously ill young girl, Valerie Webb, in this episode, would later go on to take over the role of Hooker's daughter, Chrissie.

    • Lance LeGault here plays Lieutenant Decker. Just a few months after this episode was shown, he would go on to play his most recognized role as another Decker--the recurring Colonel Roderick Decker who pursued The A-Team for years.
