After about 10 year's abscence from wrestling, I started watching this show again in March and I enjoy it, but wrestling just isn't the same anymore. I last watched wrestling back in 2001 or so until wrestling became too stupid and the energy that made wrestling so enjoyable just vanished into thin air. So in addition to WWE, I've also been watching TNA, and I have say that TNA was actually beating out WWE, until Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff ruined what could have been a victory for TNA in the wrestling wars. Hulk Hogan in my honest opinion is one of the overrated wrestlers of all time along with John Cena. Hulk Hogan now has turned TNA into "Hogan Knows Best." So anyway, the wrestlers in TNA are pretty good. There are superstars like: Rob Van Dam, Mr. Anderson, A.J. Styles, Bully Ray, Abyss, "Big Poppa Pop" Scott Steiner, "The Icon" Sting and many more. The wrestling in TNA is a bit better than WWE, except one thing that gets to me is that most of wrestlers in TNA don't have the charisma that the wrestlers in WWE have. The good thing about TNA is that: THERE'S BLOOD! Yay! TNA feels a bit more realistic because wrestling is suppossed to have bleeding and the wrestlers are suppossed to get hurt. I'll continue to watch TNA and hope that WWE can learn a thing or two about getting the wrestling back to TV-14 instead of TV-PG.
Now, I know I'ma get sum that agree n sum that disagree, but I like TNA more than the WWE. Yea, TNA has got sum wrestlers that made a name in the WWE 1st, but TNA also has sum really good fresh faces. AJ Styles n Samoa Joe r my top fav originals along with Eric Young, Beer Money, Kaz, Jay Lethal, and The Guns. Yea, this show was getting wack after 07, but was doing ok in 08, good in 09, last year was iight except with Hogan making unneeded changes like the 4-sided ring. WE WANT 6 SIDES. Also bring back the World X Cup n King of the Mountain. Bring back the TNA that got my attention more than the WWE did. Go back 2 the old school days where the X-Division was the main focus. I'm liking what y'all doing now, but ditch Hogan n Bischoff, put Dixie Carter back in charge.
I asked so many times if TNA was WCW all over again. I have watched TNA a few times to realize that it isn't exactly the most original show. It does have some unique matches, but all of the storylines, gimmicks, and acting is so generic and seems second rate. I like Kurt Angle, Sting, Booker T., and Team 3-D, but aside from those guys, I could care less for the entire roster. Who cares about the majority anyway? I don't want to see Kevin Nash wrestle. I don't want to see Scott Steiner on television. I don't want to watch TNA and I won't. Thank you.
TNA, well well well. Pro Wrestling is somthin to talk bout. People say that it is not conidered a sport, others say the opposite. Why? Well TNA is obvouisly, fake, but well acted out. Acted out being the wrestling part. TNA was good when it started off. I didnt get a chance to see it launch but got a chance to watch a chunk of TNA to know whats goin down. Unfourtunatly, I lost interest just as fast as I gained it. TNA had a good thing goin with the whole war of Rookies vs the Vets. in which Kurt and other TNA Veterans wanted more and wanted to take out the others. It was good, then it just got complicated. Mick went rouge, founder Jeff Jarett beaten at every moment and then poof gone, Samoa gone rouge as well as Showtime Eric Young gone to the dark side of TNA, crazy girl Daphne and emothional Abyss?? Are you kidding me!! TNA has gone off and just made too many conflicts that were attactched to other conflicts that were attached to other conflicts and so on and so on. I know this is regular for wrestlin shows, but introducing multiple problems in the rosters of TNA isnt gonna interest the viewers, but confuse the viewers. Also, WTF with Suicide. Suicide was my favorite Wrestler the moment he made his debut. A Mysterious character that strikes at dark. Then he just became some other Wrestler when the belt was taken from him and he could never beat anyone ever again. I mean thats what i hate about TNA. They get a real cool guy or gal and then they demoralize, dwarf, humiliate or turn to a jerk. TNA, the one reason ill stay away from Wrestlin for a while.
TNa presents itself as an alternative product to the dominating WWE. Well to be fair, i don`t see it that way. Despite some great talents (including one of the best wrestler ever in Kurt Angle), TNA fails to be an alternative. Let`s face it, WWE is all alone in there and that`s the major reason why the WWE product quality has gone so much downhill in recent years: serious lack of competition.
I`d hope TNA will continue to progress and do a WCW and challenge WWE. But that is very very very far from done.
Still tho, it is an enjoyable product.
this show is a waste. it is such a wwe wannabe, if you disagree, OPEN YOUR EYES! the storylines tries to be similar, the mask thing with abyss blah blah. there also havee un attractive divas unlike the wwe. they get no fame and do not do anything good for the world (the wwe supported the autism with jenny mcarthy and salute the troops).
all the good wrestlers came from the wwe (kurt angle, rvd, christian, ETC. MANY MORE.
so if you want good entertainment, watch wwe. way better than the unsuccessful tna. aslo, tna is NOT extreme whatsoever. just watch and see
This show is just hard to watch. It's Laughable how much it tries to copy WWE, but tries to be different to avoid lawsuit. First off, the ring bothers me. It has 4 sides? what the hell? Also, the camera angles are depressing. I'm used to watching WWE and I get a hoot out of the Crowds reaction when a Superstar comes in. The TNA crowd is so tiny, when a superstars music starts (which in TNA sounds the exact same) no one cheers at all. Also, the annoucers give me headaches. They scream into the microphone at the top of their lungs. it's grimacing. The best ratings of this show are three times worse than the worst ratings of any WWE show. Thats how bad TNA is. So the next time you wanna watch a good wrestling show, SmackDown!, Raw, Ecw, good. tna, horrible
I've been a wrestling fan since 1999 and so was lucky enough to enjoy the tail end of WWE's Attitude era. Now, WWE is looking bloated, kinda gross and not very entertaining so I began looking elsewhere several years ago. TNA more than just scratches the itch.
The six-sided ring is a superb twist and the talent they have is always impressive. My personal favourites include Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Gail Kim, and Petey Williams but there's a whole lot more to love and appreciate. These guys have such talent, they really need a two-hour slot in order to truly show-off what a stacked roster they have. There's always several OMG! moments in each episode, and the commentators are informative and funny, adding an edge to the excitement. It can be explosive, flashy and entertaining.
However, my most recent gripes would be that nowadays TNA seems to be relying on older classic talent such as Scott Steiner (never a pretty sight) and his brother Rick, VKM, or even more bizarrely Bob Backland. Whilst ok in small doses, so much focus on talent such as these I believe to be a mistake. I love the young talent TNA has and I'd like to see more of them. I do love how TNA uses their female talent though, allowing them to kick butt in and out of the ring and be sexy without exploiting it as their one talent. These girls are tough and skilled and seeing them face each other and some of the guys on the roster is always a pleasure. TNA was the future when I first started watching it, I hope it can continue to evolve and entertain.
I`ve been hooked on this show. This is also a good wrestling show. I watch this show on Thursday nights at 11:00 and watch the rerun on Saturday at 11:00 also on Spike tv. I`ve benn watching it and watching it.
TNA is a little better than wwe raw because they have better storylines. And TNA have a six sided ring. And they don`t make stupid storylines. And they got the X-Division. I like when wrestlers talk about the wrestler`s that they`re feuding with. My favorite TNA wrestler`s are Sting, Samoa Joe, Rhino, Ron the truth Killings, Jay Lethal, Senshi and TEAM 3D. They`re all talented. I also like those two announcers. Don West and Mike Tenay. I don`t why some people say that TNA sucks. TNA and WCW are the best wrestling shows ever.
I think that this is a really good show. Its not the best but its still got one of the best wrestlers in wrestling. For example, Kurt Angle,Sting, Somoea Joe,AJ styles,Jeff Jarret, Abyss, Rhyno etc... What I am saying is that TNA got better superstars than wwe. I think that the rates are to low for this show. The best TNA rates are like 3x worse than wwe's best. I dont know why but Im sure it shoud be way higher. I really like there story lines there a lot better than wwe. WWE needs to fix theres cause its so stupid. I say this is a entertaining show. Overall: 9/10
I can probably respect TNA Wrestling just a little bit, but I'll only watch if nothing else is on. All they take is old WWE flunkees (except for Booker T and Kurt Angle, because they were awesome). They turned some of WWE's lesser talent such as Rhyno, Christian, and Gail Kim, who probably were'nt as good as some other WWE talent, and now they are ruling TNA. Also, they always try to act like they are better than WWE, and even tried to mock them. The last time I checked, WWE has billions more action figures (and sells billions more), WWE has had about 20 to 50 video games and TNA only has one, and on top of all that, some of TNA's top stars were only midcarders in WWE. So they should stop frontin' and try to promote TNA. If they do, they could almost actually give WWE some competition. Almost, cause if they challenge WWE like ECW or WCW did, WWE will crush them.
This show is okay, but it can be pretty predictable sometimes. The fact that their are getting WWE has-been is a bother to me. It like I'm watching a a bunch of old guys wrestling. Where are those young talents? It just boring sometimes and that when I change the channel. The some is sometimes instresting but rarely. It far form the being one of the top show, but not the worst. I seen awful wrestling but this ain't one of them. If you haven't seen this show give it a try, you might like it. Overall a WWE minor league.
I personally think this is going to be the future of wrestling. Next TNA is getting better by the second, and is finding more superstars by the minute. Then if you've seen TNA since 2004 you'll know all about how it has changed and became more noticeable. Finally if you've never seen it before it's called TNA Impact and it's on Spike TV. Last I'm guessing that this will become WWE's biggest rival since WCW, and if you don't watch it just give it a try. Plus TNA would've never been around if WCW got bought by WWE making WWE the only Wrestling brand, then that's when TNA came into play.
Its very sad to see TNA in the state that it is in today, with such awesome talent working for the roster both old and home grown. I have a hard time watching the program and it wasnt until the christmas episode that made me realize why. The number one reason TNA is struggling as much as they are is one simple problem. They do not know who their target audience is...is it children, teens, adults? So the show gets equally split to target all those different audiences in one show. I mean you tape your show in front of a crowd that is majority family / children in Universal Studios, for a show thats to air on tv to interest teens and adults. So you have Kurt Angle beating up Santa Clause on tv, which was kind of cool until you see all these little 6 year old kids truly crying and upset. You have a match in which the loser dresses up like a reindeer which the 6 year olds are loving until they realize none of the adults are even really paying attention. So some advice for TNA, decide who your taget audience is and stick with it full force, and two you need to stop with gimmick matches they are way to over done. TNA has everything they could possibly need to be a huge success which we are all rooting for, even the competition.
TNA wrestling is actually one of the two top promotions along with WWE financially, because they are able to afford television slots and many types of events for exposure, but when it comes to actual wrestling, in my opinion, it actually is a lot better than the WWE. You see more styles of matches, and everything, and for any wrestling fans, check out TNA before they had the big names, it was still very good if not better to me, as many of the indy guys were in the main event, but with a television deal, you also need big names like Angle and Sting which is good. I just wish TNA uses its entertainment better, like the writing needs to be better.
The matches though have been great, might be big slumps now, but the product will do a lot better with the confirmed two hour deal, and more 3 and even 5 star matches can be shown on television rather than 2 stars or 1 star. I think that the action is great, but the booking and writing needs more people, as more minds work out a lot better, especially for main stream, but all in all excellent promotion and show, and I think Impact has been well. Many of the 2004-2005 Impacts were also great, but when Impact gets two hours, the writing will be better and booking definitely, because more time to think and a larger time slot to get things done.
Impact has had some good matches, but with another hour, it can have a 30 minute match without it taking up most of the show.
Im a big WWE fan but i have to say WOW im really gettin into TNA big time its great, it just gets better and better and more exciting. I think its fantastic news that impact is going into a 2 hour show like it should be so now they can fit more great matches in and have more of there great superstars on each show. TNA Impact im loving it and there pay per views just get better and better there awesome.
I can see loads more big wrestlers joining TNA soon and also there makin there own great talent aswell. TNA has a big future ahead.
I don't know why a few wrestling fans hate it. They just jealous because the WWE doesn't even push good talent. All they get is untalented big guys to beatdown the smaller and talented guys. TNA has indy wrestlers mixed with fomer WWE, WCW, and ECW wrestlers. The X-Division is where the greatest action is. High flying action, along with innovated matches. Yea, right now, TNA Impact is screwing up, but they don't have a stupid storyline that involves a wrestler to be Jarrett's bastard child. TNA is still new. It's been 5 years, and all the haters just wanna see the same stuff. Now me, I like to see new action, and TNA is it.
In just short of 2 years TNA iMPACT! has gone from featuring the most exciting 45 minutes worth of original wrestling action on television to a mildly entertaining spin off of World Wrestling Entertainment, complete with all your old favorite (Not so much) WWE castoffs..er...characters. Still it is not that bad, it is just not that good either. As far as the WWE brands go it is usually the second or third best sports entertainment show on during the week, and the best one hour wrestling show. Of course the only other one hour wrestling show on nationally televised cable television is ECW, but ECW doesn't count becuase it is pretty much a joke and anyone who watches it probably enjoys torturing small animals. Of course there is always hope that iMPACT! will get better when it gets an additional hour in the fall, at least that is what we keep hearing. Of course they said that too about Daylight savings time and decades later whe are still dealing with the headaches all that falling back and leaping forward has caused us, much like the latest appearance in TNA of the "rain-maker" himself. Any news is good news, until that news is the perpetually dark cloud called Pacman.
Being a die hard wrestling fan I watch both wwe & tna. While wwe focused on cheesy storylines & over the top characters tna goes straight for the throat. Most of their superstars are underappreciated wrestling icons, Fast rising stars & some new stars who are trying & probably will make it in the business. It also shows alot more extreme matches like a standard cage match wasn't enough now they add electricity to the cage or the king of the mountain match a ladder match instead of trying to get the title belt the have to hang it up. Yes TNA is a fast growing wrestling stable but the mystery is will Vince McMahon buy it like he did WCW & ECW
TNA impact! isn't that good to watch. It is okay, but not as good. If that were the only thing to watch, I'd kill myself first. Look at it this way:
1. It's ring has 6 sides! That's two less than WWE rings, and everybody knows that wrestling should be held in a 4-sided ring.
2. Half of everybody on there is from the WWE! And the people not from WWE, has been trained by someone from WWE. Either way you look at it, WWE is in TNA.
3. If it weren't for WWE, They wouldn't have matches like, Tables, Casket(TNA Last Rights), Steel Cage, ect. TNA couldn't survive without us.
4. Everybody on there thinks they're the best, but they're not! I bring up my WWE washups. 5. They've been mooching off of NWA for most of their pitiful run on TV. It probably been a few weeks since they've decided to fend for themselves. Face it without NWA, they'll be bought out by WWE in no time.
I only watch to see what the competition has. If you want real wrestling, watch USA 9pm Mon, SciFi 10pm Teus, and CW 8pm Fri. If you like a league of WWE rejects, then this is for you.
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling!!! The new alternative brand of wrestling!!! If you are a wrestling fan like me then you are probably familiar with the WWE. But all of my friends and I agree that it is going downhill and fast. I mean, watch any match and you will see that the bad guy of the match will always dominate the entire feud or match, and then the good guy will overcome the odds at the end and manage to pull off his/her finishing move, and win the match. Generally this makes for a pretty boring and predictable match. And don't even get me started on the endless amount of restholds. I mean, it's resthold after resthold, after resthold, after resthold. If you agree then it's time you start watching TNA Impact Wrestling. It is very unpredictable and entertaining. The wrestling itself is amazing and fast-paced. They also call their cruiserweights The X-Division. The X-Division is amazing and some of the moves they pull off are unbelieveable. And did I mention that the ring is 6-sided? And well known former WWE Superstars are there right now. Kurt Angle, Christy Hemme, Christian Cage to name a few. Although TNA does have its faults it is much much, much, better than the WWE. And not every single feud is good guy vs bad guy. A lot of the roster is neutral. If you are used to WWE programming then you may not enjoy TNA right away. The "feel" of TNA is much different but once you get used to it, then you will really get into it. There are no gimmicks that go to far like the "Boogey man" of the "Undertaker". But the reason not many people know about TNA is because it needs more exposure. Currently TNA has only 1- hour of programming each week while the WWE has 5 hours(ECW, Smackdown, Raw). But once TNA gets 2 hours then they may be able to compete with the WWE. Basically, if you are a tired WWE fan then check out TNA. Every Thursday at SpikeTV which is channel 63 if you have Comcast and 325 if you have DirectTV at 9:00. Replays at Saturdays at 11:00. TNA-WE ARE WRESTLING!!!
I love this show. I`ve been watching this show since last year. I watch this show on Thursday nights on Spike TV at 9:00 and watch the reruns on Saturday nights at 11:00. I`ve been watching it and watching it.
TNA is a little better than WWE Raw because I like what they do and they have a six sided ring. And they don`t make stupid storylines. And they got the X-Division. TNA got the best storylines and I like them. I like when wrestlers talk about the other wrestlers that they`re feuding with. My favorite TNA wrestlers are Sting, Samoa Joe, Rhino, Jay Lethal, Senshi, Ron The Truth Killings, and Team 3D. They`re all talented. TNA also have the best announcers. I hope this show never goes off the air like WCW did.

TNA is a show that i have been with since every wensday when it was on ppv and it was great then a still going pretty strong with talent like aj styles jeff jarret and of course the Stinger!!1 one of my all time favorites and now days there story lines and getting much better and there ppv's and impact show is ten times better than wwe now days and i will tell you one thing about this show everyone on it is a better wrestler than john cena who i hate and who has no talent i wish edge would leave wwe and go to tna well if you are a fan of wrestling then def tna is for you
TNA is the best wretling show to be on tv right now it has great hardcore wrestlers & technical wrestlers that is the best thing about TNA I mean Raven, Petey Williams, Team 3-D, Rhino, Samoa Joe, I just wish TNA would take back April Hunter, The Sandman, Sabu, Jeff Hardy, New Jack TNA has had a lot of great wrestlers I wish they were back too bad people still haven't heard that much from TNA I hope in the future they will be taken seriously it would be awesome if TNA took out Double Double E just kidding WWE TNA is better in my opinion.
During the spring in 2001, 2 great wrestling promotions died due to greed and bad business dealings.
With the monopolization of pro-wrestling I gave up on it.
For a few years I refused to watch that other program.
Then in 2003, I discovered NWA-TNA.
They had wrestlers that were familiar and new blood that i'd never heard of before.
They renewed my joy of pro-wrestling again.
I have been a watcher non-stop ever since then.
With their high flyers, spot fest guys, innovative matches and such, they are the alternative to that other promotion.
It saddens me to see that the WWE has sunk to a new low. They know full well that TNA is a threat to them, but will do ANYTHING to make sure that fans don't know about it. Examples? Plenty:
> When asked about Christian and Rhino, Adam Copeland (Edge) said making less money than me. Pathetic. Especially when those 2 are his BEST FRIENDS.
> Even the Joke (Coachman) couldn't defend the WWE's credibility when asked about TNA. Or whatever credibility it has.
> They edit chants for TNA or anything that was boring to the fans that watched live so the "other fans" in TV-land will think that it was the best show on earth when it was utter B.S.
> Vince McMahon fires the Dudley Boys, then keeps the name "Dudley" for himself. ECW created the Dudley Boys and he takes their names away. Why? Fans would know about TNA. The same thing goes for Monty Brown cause Vince changed his name as well the "Pounce" so fans would stay away from TNA.
> When Vince made that STUPID Rosie O'Donelle/Donald Trump match, the WWE fans chanted "T-N-A" when he was at ringside. I tell ya, when your own fans chant for the competition, that's a sign for Vince McMahon to get his act together....FAST!!!!
> This isn't an example, but a comparison. Christian is TNA's world champion because of his in-ring talent which the WWE refused to let him utilised. WWE has Batista (who can only flex a muscle) as their world champion cause he doesn't like to be booed. Utterly pathetic.
The list could go on, but I will stick with those for the time being. My point is, if TNA can keep up the good work and get that 2-hour slot that fans have been talking about, the wrestling wars will begin once again....and it won't be pretty for the WWE.
watch out WWE youve got competition! T N A Wrestling is amazingly great!
TNA iMPACT! has some of the most exciting and recognizable stars in wrestling today: Kurt Angle, Sting, AJ Styles, Abyss, Christian Cage, Team 3D and The Latin American Exchange! In addition, watch the high-flying, no-limits stars of TNA's "X Division" as well as innovative matches like "The Ultimate X" and "The Six Sides Of Steel". This season, watch Abyss, Sting and Christian Cage battle for control of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship! Plus, Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe collide for supremacy in TNA! CHAMPIONS: NWA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage TNA Wrestling X Division Champion Chris Sabin NWA World Tag Team Champions LAX (Homicide and Hernandez) AIRING SCHEDULE: Spike TV Thursdays at 9:00pm ET/PT Replays Saturday Nights at 11:00pm ET/PT
Total Nonstop Action wrestling is superior to the WWE in almost every way. I'm not sure how many people have watched WWE shows lately, but the guys they push are crap. Putting two dumbs bodybuilders and a talentless rapper as the champions? Come on!
TNA usually makes the best wrestlers into superstars, even if they aren't actually going for a title (Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle). Most of the fueds are at least fairly interesting and practically every major fued is between guys with talent. The wrestling itself is of high quality. Crappy matches do happen, but they are a rarety. Usually they are fast paced and exciting. The average TNA match is far ahead of an everage WWE match.
Finally, TNA's X-Division really helps to define the company. It features some of the most exciting matches I have seen. Since the WWE pretty much abandoned its cruiserweight division, the X-Division is refreshing to see (though there isn't actually a weight limit, most wrestlers are below 220 lbs).
In short, TNA > WWE. It is the best wrestling show around.
Total Nonstop Action(TNA) is a good wrestling show to watch. It has a lot of awsome superstars to satisfy you. My favorites are Kurt Angle, Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethel, Samoa Joe, Rhino, Chris Sabin, Ron "The Truth" Killings, Abyss, Raven, and Sting. The action is totally awsome. The theme song is good. And it always makes you want to come back for more. TNA even brings back good superstars that quit or retired from other wrestling benunisses Raven and Kurt Angle for example. Watching always makes me chant TNA all the time. Definatly worth checking if you a wrestling fan looking for something different.
