The 1/21 edition of TNA iMPACT! following Genesis scored a 1.26 rating (the same as last week). The viewership overall was up to 1.9 million compared to last weeks 1.8 million.

iMPACT! hour 2 scored a 1.31 rating which is the highest secound hour rating since July 30, 2009. The first hour brought in a 1.21 rating down from 1.27 last week. Ric Flair and A.J. St.yles's opening segment scored a peak of 1.32 as did The final 30 minutes of the broadcast.

There was no decline in the final 15 mins of the show as has become the case for a while. S.tyles vs. Kurt Angle and the 'Orlando Screwjob' with Hulk Hogan held the audience.

We reported earlier today that TNA has booked another Impact broadcast to go head-to-head with Raw on March 1st. The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that TNA has decided to permanently air Impact on Monday nights as they feel the time is right to go head-to-head with WWE. As of now, the plan is to air a live Impact every other Monday night, and tape an Impact broadcast on Tuesday nights which will air on the Monday nights that the show does not air live.

It is unclear at this time whether or not Impact will retain or change its current 9-11pm time slot.

Finally, an iMPACT discussion thread. I've always wanted to create one, but didn't know where.

Wiz created one a few years back, but it fizzled. Did you like the show last night?

Yeah. I've enjoyed the last few iMPACTS. I did have a problem with the Pope not being used.

Decent iMPACt. The Pope was good as always and AJ's forced happiness is so awful.

Anderson's no reaction from the crowd was interesting.

I was shocked that he didn't get a reaction. It just didn't make any sense to me.

Call me crazy, but if Anderson stays in TNA for the long haul, he could be the greatest acquisition in TNA history.

TNA has to do something about AJ's acting. It's terrible.

    Yep his acting and awful.

    ======================

Wolfe's promo was hilarious and serious altogether.
He called Hernandez 'Super Maxi-Pad', called Anderson a loud mouth and Angle, Kurt Mangled. Very good promo.

AJ's promo was the best he's done in a while.
    Even the matches were nice.

They set up the PPV really good too.

I'm really starting to hate this "Heel" AJ... It's really bad... And where is the Fallen Angel, Daniels? Man, TNA is so lucky they have Pope and Wolfe, otherwise, I probably wouldn't watch it any more...

This version of AJ is funny and good. Funny because his acting is atrocious. Good because it gives his character depth.

As for Christopher Daniels, it's because Bischoff isn't a 'fan'. Shame on him for that.

I liked AJ a lot better when he didn't talk that much, or when he was tag team champions with Tomko, and was part of that feud between Angle and Christian. *Yes, I saw all that*

Yes... Shame on EB... I think it's time for Spidey to visit Orlando and give Bischoff a piece of his mind... Or I guess I could wait until Lockdown in St. Louis... Missouri isn't that far away from Nebraska... It's just a matter of getting there...

With the new TNA regime, they want each person to have a character and to give the fans a reason to boo or cheer you for not just wrestling.

AJ was great as Prince AJ. Also if people hadn't watch TNA pre-2006, AJ was a heel for quite some time.

Cool impact thread. I think TNA going to Monday will be good for the first week then the second week (which is taped) won't do good at all.

Also here are some new rules for the Impact Zone (Pretty Lame TNA i though you guys were going to be like the old ECW)

    The following is off Reuters:

"Our goal is not to beat 'Raw' immediately, but we feel confident this will accelerate our growth and make it fun for wrestling fans," Carter said.

The shows target different wrestling sensibilities, with "Raw" aiming for more of a PG rating and "Impact" drawing a TV-14.

"It's somewhat of a different audience," a WWE spokesperson said. "On Monday nights, we're one of the top cable shows. We're focusing on our new show for Syfy, 'NXT,' and 'Wrestlemania XXIV.'"

For Spike TV, this is an opportunity to tap into sports fans while "Monday Night Football" is off the grid.

I think Raw will go back to TV-14 soon so that won't help TNA that much. I mean more people are swearing on Raw now so i think it's going to happen it just might take a while
