TNAwrestling.com is reporting that Scott Steiner underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday afternoon to repair a fully-torn ACL in his knee. The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews. Steiner was injured in the main event match at Sacrifice against Samoa Joe and Kaz. After the event Steiner had an MRI done, but the test was incomplete due to the amount of swelling. Steiner worked through the pain, and was to have a scope done on his knee Tuesday, when the ACL tear was discovered. According to Dr. Andrews, Steiner could be out anywhere from four to six months.

I think it was a one time thing to see if it would boost ratings and since it really didn't, I guess they decided to not do it again.

    source wrestlezone.com:

TNA's newest Knockout, Mickie "Moose" Knuckles, has apparently broken her leg after a botched attempt to to dive off a platform at the IWA Mid-South presents Summertime Black & Blues indy show in Joliet, Illinois. It is being reported by an eyewitness named Ed Chuman that the break looked similar to the break Sid Vicious suffered in WCW. Apparently Moose tried to outdo a previous spot where a wrestler jumped from a platform by jumping from an even higher one, and her opponent, Sara Del Ray, could not catch her properly.

In a post made earlier tonight on the ChicagoProWrestling.com message board, here is what Chuman had to say concerning the accident:

"I just got a call from some of the boys at Ian's show tonight. They said Mickie broke her leg doing a dive. From what I understand she landed on one leg with all her weight & it snapped like Sid's did back in WCW, but above the knee. This is a very sad thing too have happen to her especially with her work in TNA at present. I'll I can say is how sorry I am to hear this, and wish her the best in her recovery.

    Modification:

It seems that someone else did a dive, and Mickie didn't want to do the same dive, and decided to dive off some balcony, or higher position. Sara tried to catch her, but as stated before she came down on 1 leg, and that was that. I've now heard from Joey, Jason Dukes, Sara through Kong who already heard all the way in Tampa."

Another message board poster said that Knuckles ended up breaking her femur, which is the thigh bone.

One person in attendance added, "I was there and it was really bad to watch. As soon as it happened you just saw everyone get up and they waved Ian over right away and he made them cut the cameras too."

Both are good reads, although Madden is just more brutal as always.

As Jeremy Borash Twitted (or is is Twittered?) yesterday TNA's Hernandez has been cleared by his doctor to return to the ring. Hernandez has not been in a ring since January, and plans ring work-outs prior to his return to TNA TV, PPV & House Shows.

While rehabilitating from neck surgery he also has been working on a diet, so should return to TNA in the best shape of his career.

Hernandez LAX partner Homicide has not been seen in quite a while in TNA. He suffered the loss of his father not that long ago which may be part of the reason. However, additionally, it appears he may be under a "double secret probation" that is occasionally imposed by TNA creative, after a rumored blow-up or two with creative team members, much as The Motor City Machine Guns were at one time after refusing to blade for a TV spot with Team 3D.

Plans were for Homicide to focus on the X Division while Hernandez focused on the Heavyweight division. I believe that in storyline, Hernandez was promised a TNA Title match prior to his injury.

Not sure what creative at TNA plans now for the two, or whether Hernandez will be written into the next TV tapings June 23-25, or return after that. It is possible those shows have already been written without knowing he would get a doctor's release.

Chris Sabin will not be able to appear at the Pro Wrestling Guerilla "Battle of Los Angeles" event as originally advertised. TNA officials informed PWG that Sabin "aggravated a neck injury at our TV tapings and the doctor is recommending that he take a couple of weeks (and maybe longer) off."
