Wow, EY and Raven over the course of a week? *Sigh* (I'm starting to love this face around here.)
Sunday 8:00 PM on In Season
Now they are saying overpaid man Nash is back.
You mean you'll do the dance of joy?
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that some financial functions in TNA have changed recently, with Dixie Carter's mother Janice having been placed in charge of approving the money that the company spends on project decisions. Money is said to be very tight right now, with money funds being limited so that the company can cover its losses. This has lead many to believe that TNA might have to cut down on talent signings, and bringing in guys like Matt Hardy might be difficult to impossible depending on how much money certain talents are willing to work for.
Not sure if it's 100%, but I read that EY has supposedly re-signed with the company for the less amount, but he can get his own bookings.
It's official, he's back.
It appears as if one of the longest tenured veterans on the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling roster will remain on the active roster following his contract expiring, despite some doubts that Eric Young would re-sign with the promotion due to a potential pay cut the performer would have had to take.
Today comes news that the comedic, Eric Young will in fact return to the company past 2010.
According to a report from Mike Johnson, of PWInsider, that the word making the rounds is that Eric Young and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling have agreed to terms on an extension and Young has already inked the contract to remain with TNA. Young's current deal expired on November 1st, 2010.
The report notes that one of the sticking points in the contract, is that Young will be more available to take independent professional wrestling dates on his own when the company doesn't require his services. It is not surprising that these details would be written into the contract with the inconsistent utilization of Young on television programming and the amount of money he is sure to make on the indy scene.
Some reports have suggested that Young agreed to a pay cut of 50% to remain with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and most note that although Eric Young wanted to test the waters and see what else what out there for him; there didn't seem to be a lot of options for Eric moving forward outside of working indy events.
Considered a favorite by not only the hardcore TNA Wrestling fans, but also extremely well liked by those backstage in the locker room and by TNA president Dixie Carter, it isn't a surprise to see Young remain with the promotion.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Samoa Joe's TNA contract has expired according to sources. Joe joined TNA Wrestling in 2005 and the company is expected to negotiate a new deal following tonight's Final Resolution PPV.
Just a bit? I like Joe, but considering the crap TNA is pulling, he might be better off taking a page from Homicide and Co's book and go back to the indies. He's not the captain of the ship, so why bother sink with it?
New signee. His name is Tommy Mercer. He's an AIW guy. He's tall and has a fun move set.

- It's said that while Samoa Joe has been going through his contract negotiations with TNA, there has been no interest at all from WWE officials about bringing in the former TNA World Champion.
