The feeling is that TNA are allowing several stars contracts to expire, including Roxxi, Rhaka Khan, Kip James and Jackie Moore. All 4 have their contracts coming up and haven't been used on TV for weeks.

Jeff Jarrett recently went on record saying they want to cycle talent every so often to keep the product fresh and these look like the prime candidates not to be re-signed.

The most surprising would be Roxxi, who has been a solid part of the Knockout's division. With Kip James it's a case that his contract doesn't warrant his drawing power.

Rhaka Khan has been reportedly hard to deal with and isn't progressing in the ring like the other females. She also no longer has Kurt Angle on her side. And Jackie Moore's character seems to have just ran its course.

They should fire the other James too while they're at it.

» TNA changing Christopher Daniels ring name to "Daniels" was simply a marketing decision. He owns the Christopher Daniels name and TNA prefers owning their performers' ring names, hence the change. While the announcers and everyone else is supposed to refer to him as "Daniels," in certain situations such as last week's episode of Impact, people who are his close friends are scripted to call him "Chris."

» As reported earlier, TNA's next pay-per-view on the road will be taking place on June 21 at the Palace in Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan. The Palace in Auburn Hills is one of the largest arenas in the country and can hold an audience of 23,000 for wrestling. No one in the company is delusional to think that if the show draws a mere 5,000, it won't be a success. Detroit Shock games are usually curtained, so the crowd shouldn't look too bad on television.

» To follow up on reports last week regarding the dispute between Paul London and TNA, while London pulled out of some indy events over the weekend claiming a back injury, TNA sources continue to state that London pulled out of the tapings over pay. One TNA source added, "What he thought he was worth and (what) we thought he was worth were two different numbers." There was talk of bringing in some former TNA stars like Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt to replace London, but it didn't end up happening with Williams in Japan. Samoa Joe and AJ **** were said to be pushing to bring back Dutt.

Taz is in fact heading to TNA and is expected to begin working as Samoa Joe's advisor. Sources have confirmed that Taz does in fact have a non-compete clause with WWE, and once it expires he will be able to appear on camera. There's no word on the length of his non-compete agreement, but he is clearly being teased for a TNA debut.

ProWrestling.net reports that he will enter the company as an advisor or manager for Joe, and will likely make a transition to the broadcast booth as a color commentator at some point.

It remains to be seen where Don West fits into the long-term picture of the broadcast team. Multiple sources claim that Jeff Jarrett and Mike Tenay have spoken out against the idea of using a three-man broadcast team in the past. West may have more value as a backstage pitch man than a color commentator, but Jeff Jarrett has resisted past pushes from others within the company to shake up the broadcast team.

More than one source has stated that while Dixie Carter likes West personally, she is not a fan of his performance as a color commentator. There also may be a chance that Jarrett and Tenay would change their tune regarding a three-man team if it meant keeping West onboard.

Jeremy Borash posted on his twitter account that Elijah Burke was backstage visiting at the TNA Impact taping in Orlando, Florida.

I know Burke had some conversations awhile back with TNA's Terry Taylor about potentially coming in, but I haven't heard he's on the way in.

If they can look at the ROH/CZW feud closely and try to do something similar to that, this could be really, really good.

It won't work in TNA. The only way this would work would be if they did a TNA/ROH feud, but ROH doesn't have a strong TV audience yet. And the Universe guys (WWinnieF, Zhiner, Peeps, Hurricane, etc.) will either ignore it or pan it badly.

CZW and ROH didn't but it worked out so well. Oh yeah, that's because it had good writers. But, the original ECW has a faithful following to this day, so that migth help.

And I honestly don't care what they have to say about TNA much because it's all, blah, blah, blah. The WWE is far from perfect. No promotion is perfect. I know TNA is not great. Hell it' snot even good sometimes, but I am willing to admit it. Others, not so much. But I digress.

Whether you credit the addition of Mick Foley to the TNA roster and product or TNA's improvement in building up the iMPACT Main Events, what can not be denied is that TNA is close to overtaking WWE ECW in the season to date rating average.

For the 19 week period from January 5 - May 15:

WWE ECW average rating = 1.263

TNA iMPACT average rating = 1.227

TNA iMPACT is trailing WWE ECW in season to dave rating average by just . 036 points

If current rating trends continue I'd expect TNA's iMPACT average to excede WWE ECW's average within the next month.

WWE Raw's average is approximately 3.6 rating

WWE Smackdowns average is approximately a 2 rating

Bear in mind that cable ratings are based on the audience reach of each individual network.

    Source AC Nielsen Media Research

TNA iMPACT on Spike TV averaged a 1.219 rating for the period from Jan 5-May 29 (21 weeks)

ECW on Sci-Fi averaged a 1.242 rating for the same period

So based on ratings one might think ECW is leading TNA iMPACT in season to date average.

The rating is the % of US Households watching the show on the cable network.

However, Spike TV is available in approximately 97 million HH while Sci Fi is available in only 93 million HH (Households), but ratings are based on each cable network's household audience reach, which is different from broadcast which is based on all available US households.

For example the CBS Network is available in apoproximately 113 million households.

So TNA's 1.219 rating = 1,182,430 HH on Spike TV

    And ECW's 1.242 rating = 1,155,060 HH on Sci-Fi

    Winner is TNA iMPACT

-- TNA has high hopes for Matt Morgan, who is currently just starting an angle with The Main Event Mafia. They feel he has all of the tools to be a main event star, and want him to be ****fied as a 'homegrown' star as after his mostly forgettable WWE run they totally repackaged him from the ground up.

    • Interesting.
    • He is good on the mic and is decent in the ring, plus that finisher of his is killer.

Nick Cvjetkovich, who recently appeared in WWE as Kizarny, is scheduled to meet with TNA officials this week.

The meeting is scheduled so that the company can discuss the possibility of bringing Nick Cvjetkovich into the company. He previously worked for TNA throughout 2003-2005. While a return to the company is not a sure thing, he does have a good chance because he's a good overall performer.

His goal is still to return to WWE eventually, though. Nick Cvjetkovich is not shy about letting people know that.

In a recent interview, Nick Cvjetkovich revealed that when he was called up to the Smackdown roster, he spent the night in a hotel room with childhood friends Edge and Christian. The three spent the night reveling in the fact that they all finally achieved their childhood dreams together.
I woudn't sign him because of the part in bold.
