To Serve and Protect

Show Summary

To Serve And Protect is a Canadian documentary television series which airs on A-Channel, SUN TV, and Mystery Television. It is very similar to the American series COPS. The show documents the day-to-day events of Police Officers in Canadian cities such as Edmonton and Winnipeg as well as several RCMP detachments in British Columbia. The program began in 1993 on KVOS and is still running today. The show originally began in Vancouver, but was taken off the air for several years, focusing on other Police departments. In 2005, the show returned to the VPD, and many new episodes from Vancouver are currently airing.

  • Why don't they beep out when the Police are swearing?

I just saw an episode, where Cst. Mike Bates in Edmonton was swearing multiple times while speaking calmly with someone. He was criticizing this man for swearing at his fiance while swearing himself! LOL

Can't the police speak rationally, with decent language? If not, please beep out their swearing - we don't need to be exposed to that. It certainly displays the Edmonton police is a poor light. I think they should pick police officers that can speak like adults if they are going to film them.moreless
