    • According to a 15Dec52 Chicago Tribune article, Jackie Gleason appeared as guest host while Ed Sullivan was in the hospital for a checkup.

    • The theme of this episode was originally supposed to be Part 2 of "The Samuel Goldwyn Story," with movie composer Frank Loesser as one of the guests.
But there appears to have been a (last minute?) change in the theme and guest line-up. In their 14Dec52 TV listings, both the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune list different guests. Neither newspaper lists Samuel Goldwyn or Frank Loesser as guests for this date.
