EDIT
When Tom snatches a duck egg, he quickly cracks it open onto a frying pan in preparation to cook it. But instead of a yolk, a little duckling named Quacker pops out. Upon seeing that Tom is trying to cook him, Jerry comes to Quacker's rescue and does his best to protect him from Tom.moreless

  • The birth of a baby duck & MGM's answer to Tweety. The first T&J short of the 1950's.

    9.5
Every film company had a cute little character. Warner Brothers had Tweety, MGM had Quacker the duckling.

Though Quacker never had a short of his own (but in the comic books), some fans find him annoying while others find it cute. It also marked the only appearance of Momma Duck & HENRY, the big daddy duck! If Quacker did have his own short, some would compare it to Paramount's Baby Huey.

After Quacker's 8 shorts, Hanna-Barbera rechristen the duckling (with green wings) as Yakky Doodle. Yakky would often team up with Grape Ape in Laff-A-Lympics. The last Yakky appearance was on an episode of Yogi's Treasure Hunt.moreless
  • Little Quacker is surely the first Tom and Jerry cartoon that i considered like a very bad cartoon.

    3.0
This is the first episode that feature the little yellow duckling and of moment to speak, he's annoying and remove the pleasure to watch Tom and Jerry again and again. Also, i considered this cartoon too violent and not funny at all.

I very dislike this cartoon for a simple reason: The duckling and the multiple's Tom bad treatments
