  • Yet another strong showing from one of televisions underappreciated and little known gems.

Does anything ever go as planned for the title character, Tom Peters. It seems that no matter how good his intentions are, or how hard he tries, everything goes awry for Tom. This episode is no different, however, the backstabbing he puts up with, while remaining so positive is nothing short of heroic. As in many other episodes, Tom has a great idea to help make extra money for his, not so loving, family. Although his ideas never seem to pan out, he seems to always keep his sense of optimism, no matter how bad things appear to the viewer.moreless

    • Bartender: (laughs) Well I got a Christmas message for you, why don't you take your "I came up with the t-shirt and Jesters stole it from me" attitude, and the chip on your shoulder, and the mean look in your eyeball, and the sour lemon vibrations, (screams as loud as possible) and why don't you take it outside cause we don't need that at this time of year in my bar.
(the bartender throws Tom into a mud puddle)

    • The Mayor: (groans) .. now I gotta go play Santa Claus this year..
      Tom: Oh.. that's a bummer..
The Mayor: (whispering) To tell you the truth.. I love it.
      Tom: ....
