Toonattik

Show Summary

Toonattik, a flagship children's strand of the British breakfast television station, ITV Breakfast, was a show featuring a mix of cartoons for ages 4-12 every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 to 9.25 am. It included a mix of both British and imported cartoons from Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Toonattik was presented by Jamie Rickers and Anna Williamson, while Chloe Bale, Laura Hamilton and Nigel Clarke presented continuous links in between cartoons as relief presenters. The show, who's studio looked more like an attic, was based on a similar format every week. Jamie's "pie boys" (assisting children presenters) played a series of randomly selected games against Anna and her "pie girls." The loser of the show was given a pie in the face as a punishment. Each game was chosen randomly by spinning the "Golden wheel of twizzle" and "Toonattik twizzler" would determine who would play each game. The show also gave viewers a chance to send in games, which were pulled from a special chest named the "challenge chest." Celebrity guests were also occasionally invited to the show. Toonattik was conceptualized and produced by GMTV Kids.
