In his blog for this episode at the Bravo website, James says that the Critics all had a very tough time with this episode's Elimination, because they all felt that the wrong team was chosen as the losers by the diners. If they'd had their druthers, Hugh would have stayed, and John Sedlar would have been on the chopping block (because of his raw lamb chops) along with John Currence (because they thought his sweet potato and peanut soup garnished with chicken liver mousse was bizarre).
This episode aired at a special time, 11:00 pm E/P (10 pm CT), immediately following the Top Chef All-Stars "Reunion Special" which aired in its normal time slot.
