  • it was so unfair he shoudn't have gone!!!!!!!!!!

    4.4
this was an horrible episode!! very well planned...the elimination well..i did't expect dave to go because i loved him!!!! much more than tiffani(who y think is only b***ch.

they started doing the first 3 plates for the gamblers (sorry for my spelling) and oh là là! who was there??? f****ng miguel!!!!!!! i soooo hate hiM!!!!!! and then stephen and lee ann who i think are good. the critiques were excellent...harold's dish was the favorite because of the soop.

then...the pker games. i liked harold's one because it was what i would have eaten rather than dave´s. so the favorite one issssssssss...............dave. and tiffani is in trouble so she has to nail the next one.

and she doesn´t. but oops...dave forgets to do the third plate!!! that was a really huge mistake, but cirque du soleil guys thought his meat was awesome and they chose harold's plate again (so tiffani is in so much trouble now)

and then the guys are visited by miguel (who as tiffani said was transforming "Top chef" into "miguel's show". they talk bla bla bla.....

and then the elimination round. they tell dave he missed one plate so he goes home. but tiffani should have gone because the cirque guys almost ignored her plates and nobody chose her as favorite!!!!!!! i sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hated this episode!!!!!!!moreless
  • Yes. This episode is a fine example of the reality absurd.

    3.0
I just don't understand how they came to their decision. Dave might have been "a mess", but his food got good reviews for the most part. His mistake would be enough to send him home if Tiffany had placed highest in any of the of the components of the quickfire challenge. How can you come in last and move on. The fact that she stayed was ridiculous.

I don't see the last show being that interesting.moreless
  • Good Challenge, bogus ending!

    3.0
This episode finally brought home that reality TV has nothing to do with reality!

The series of challenges involved fulling room service orders. There were three seperate challenges total. harold won the first challange outright. Dave won the second challange outright. Dave would have won the third challange if he had not made a mistake and forgotten to make a third dish. Tiffani's food was not even on the map for any of these challenges.

At judging time Harold was safe, and tehn they chose Tiffani! At that point it became obvious that the show was not about the food, it was about the final battle!

I'll finish watching this season, but its doubtful I'll tune in for the next Top Chef season.moreless

  • NOTES (2)

    • In a third season blog entry Tom says that Tiffani was selected over Dave to go on to the finals in spite of never winning a round in the Room Service Challenge because she came in second place in each mini-round. Dave won for his Poker Table food, but came in last place with the High Rollers and also with the Cirque du Soleil because of his failure to present a third dish.
