    • QUOTES (9)

      • Ted Allen: (telling the chefs about their Elimination Challenge) Everything has to be great, or I'm going to look stupid, and that will make me a very cranky Judge.

      • Ted Allen: (tasting Lee Anne's QuickFire dish) Nice!
Lee Anne: Everbody loves deep fried food.
Ted Allen: Are you trying to seduce me?
        Lee Anne: I might be!

      • Andrea: (touting her QuickFire dish) It'll help move you. You'll have a nice BM.
Ted Allen: It's been weeks! I'm so grateful, thank you.

      • Dave: (of Stephen's QuickFire dish) It's all about presentation, and it was this huge plate, it literally had six little clams on it. That's not an appetizer, that's a painting.

      • Miguel: (after tasting his sorbet) Oh man, I did a real doozy. What do you think I did, Lee Anne? Ah man, I did a real doozy. I confused salt for sugar without tasting it!
Lee Anne: Are you kidding me?!

      • Tom: (to the top three chefs) If the three of you were voting someone off, I mean based on performance in the kitchen, is Miguel someone who you think should go?
Lee Anne: It's a tough call, you know–
Tiffani: (interrupting) I'll step up. Yes.

      • Ted Allen: (to Andrea) Your philosophy about eating healthy is terrific and it's great in day to day eating, but this is a competition. You need to blow the socks off these people. It needs to be whizzbang, decadent, wow!

      • Miguel: (confronting Tiffani for saying he should be eliminated) I have only one war, and it's with you. I'll have two eyes on you in front of me, and one eye behind me. You're a snake. Sssss.

      • Ted Allen: (of Dave's rigid adherence to Andrea's culinary philosophy) He should have thrown that idea out the window, and sautéed the damn thing in a stick of butter. Badda bing.

    • NOTES (2)

      • The Elimination Challenge is held at Frisson, a San Francisco restaurant specializing in New American cuisine.

      • These chefs, vintners, and critics were also featured:

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Andrea: Whenever I make a meal I like to get all five flavors - sweet, sour, salty, bitter and pungent - within one meal.
Ted Allen: Wow, sweet, sour, salty, bitter and pungent? Sounds like my co-workers.

The co-workers he is referring to are his cast mates from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
