  • Season 3 Episode 17: Reunion

  • The season's commemorative t-shirt was revealed, using a signature phrase of C.J.'s: "Oh, Big Time." As always, it was available for purchase at Bravo's web site.

  • We learn that the room where the chefs sat and waited for the Judges' decision was called "The Stew Room". The average stay was 4-5 hours, and the temperature was always quite hot in there.

  • Casey was voted fan favorite, winning $10,000 and a set of Caphalon cookware. She says she'd like to use the money to travel to Thailand.

  • Season 3 Episode 18: Top Chef Holiday Special

  • Tiffani, season one's runner up, finally won the title of Top Chef, along with $20,000.

  • This episode was "supersized" by 15 minutes in it's initial airing. Reruns eliminated details from the audition videos, parts of the contestant introductions, Padma's discussion of the Top Chef kitchen, the entire Whole Foods shopping sequence, and some of the cooking in the Elimination Challenge

  • Season four adds a new component. Each contestant was allowed to bring up to $200 of personal ingredients with them from home. They also were allowed to bring unique equipment/appliances with them, but any restrictions to that were not revealed.

  • In the QuickFire Challenge, Nimma was faulted for not salting her ingredients sufficiently, but in the Elimination Challenge the Judges said that she salted her shrimp to the point of inedibility.

  • Stephanie was named the winner of this week's Elimination Challenge. Nimma was the first chef to be sent home.

  • Season 4 Episode 3: Block Party

  • Although on the surface it appears this is the first branded challenge without product placement, is a site owned by the Clorox company, makers of the ubiquitous GladWare seen throughout the program. They also make Hidden Valley Ranch dressing, KC Masterpiece barbecue sauce (both of which got close-ups during the shopping spree), and Kingsford charcoal (seen briefly during the block party).
