  • Some great rooms but the judges disappointed me..

    7.1
Matt (not Carissa) should've won. His room was definately the best and no way should she have won!! Come one she didn't even finish her room and it was just blah and basic, heck I could have done that. And her client didn't like it...And then she wins???? What up with that. Ryan or Michael should've went home, my vote is for Ryan really, he dropped the ball. Felicia didn't deserve to go home, that afgan was out of place and if you removed it the room as darn good. I am sorry that Goil didn't do better he is my favorite and I think he might win if he stays strong and on the ball. I really think Carissa needs to go home.

The judges have been harsh lately but the closer we get to the end they need to be I think.

And Todd has come out of his shell, which is cool to see, I am really starting to like him and think he is a great host. Look at how much he cares for the designers and helps out with ideas. His voice doesn't bother me anymore :)moreless
  • Why send Felicia home, when she seems to always do a better job than Ryan?

    4.8
Although Ryan wasn't sent home this week, I think he will next. As a designer you shouldn't mouth off to the judges when they are critiquing your work. I know, I know "you shouldn't judge someone by their attitude alone." But to me it seems he has never completely satisfied the functions of the rooms that he's designed. This room was soo chaotic and I don't know how he says he gave her a bright room with black walls. Multi-colored circular patterns appearing in a few places doesn't make the room bright. It closed off the room making it look smaller, he couldn't actually use some of the furniture according to it's function and he created a crate around a bed that was too high. In comparison to all the modifications that he had to make to his rooom and the modifications to Felicia's room (which I think she just needed to change the bedding), I think he should have left this week. But the producers are probably creating some drama now.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Challenge: Design Post-College Living Space for Design Students.

Mode: Individual, with random client assignment.

Restrictions: 12x12 ft space must incorporate eating, sleeping and working, and reflect the client's tastes after a 20-minute consultation.

Budget: $700 for fabric and supplies, $500 used at garage sales for furniture and accessories.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Michael: Ryan's room, I don't know if it's mature enough for a college-age person, it looks a little Willy Wonka.

    • Carisa: (as they're driving through L.A. looking for garage sales) This is a lovely neighborhood.
Michael: I kind of like it.
Carisa: (laughing) We're gonna find, like, three dirty mattresses and a ping-pong table.

    • Carisa: (it's 6:45 am) I never in my life thought I would wake up to the sound of Todd Oldham's voice, like, waking me up; that's insane.
