Maybe I was in just the right frame of mind for this today, but I laughed until I cried at the BL car challenge. In fact, we had to pause during Hammond's egg challenge as I couldn't see through the tears.

I was pleasantly surprised by Jennifer Saunders too, she wasn't there promoting anything ...

That episode was back to old top gear. Testing cars, a good challenge and the news was finally funny without being hugely scripted and a useless joke about James.

The end was amazing with the water, brilliant challenge

Jennifer Saunders was a great guest, much better than anyone so far this season

Great episode, the best this season so far.
The challenge was hillarious and great fun
    The guest was pretty decent
The news was funny again (and informative)
And to cap it all off, an Aston Martin
    Perfect episode
    9.7/10

just the previous day I was chatting top gear on some forum, seeing everyone say the american and amphibious car challenges were like, the best ever, and i mentioned how I prefered the classic cheap car challenges (where the tasks actually mattered points wise, as did the setting and cars themselves, not just being an excuse for an american or african joyride, or to get wet)of old, and lo and behold there was one last night. Top gears redemption fromlast season is complete. all we need is a slight bit taken off the challenge and star in a reasonably priced car for another car review (not the most interesting part for me but i recognize that is supposed to be part of the show so there should be 2), have the challenges feature the boys against each other and not the production team, and you'll have what's in my opinion the perfect top gear in terms of balance betweenentertainment and relevance. for me the best bit was when Jeremy got his finger stuck, because it seemed to silly.

I hope this standard is kept up.

    brilliant episode of top gear

i love the challenge because it brought back memories of my dads old car the austin princess which was a pile of rubbish back then.
