I really enjoyed this episode, felt a bit crammed but nevertheless it was funny (in a factual way) and just what one expects from TG. Keep these great episodes coming, loving them!!

really very good indeed. clarkson was at his mischevious best. road trip was good despite the american state dept and police. even will young amazingly provided for an interesting discussion with JC despite being a reality show star, which normally should be avoided like john prescott would avoid a gym. no utterly classic stand out moments but was packed with really good ones nonetheless.

This is one of those episodes that I would immidaetly give the title of "instant classic"

I don't know why I'm so out of step, but I thought it was fairly dull. The road trip just seemed flat. Maybe I need to watch it again.

Well I hate to do it, but I must agree... The whole bit about it not being entertaining didnt seem funny at all, I think it was completly useless and unnecessary. It got better by the end though...
I didnt like the Abarth review either, they only spend so little time on real car reviews they should do it with better cars...

I have to say I am quite dissapointed with this series so far. I didnt like ep 1 at all, and while this was better it didnt have that Top Gear magic I like so much.
Hope next week will be better... Cant wait...

I realize as a Yankee, I'm not even supposed to have access to the "New" Top Gear.

I'm not supposed to have access to the Australian "Top Gear"

I'm also not to see the German version with Sabine.

I cry "foul" as of right now.

I do NOT want an "american" "top gear".

I want Jeremy to meet "Lingenfelter"

    Grax

I too am a Yank who loves Top Gear...

    All of them.

I've yet to see a "bad" version.

I do want an "American" "Top Gear". Simply because every version of the show has been for "Smart" Gear Heads. As we learned during Our political season, sometimes talking to Americans like adults and not pandering to the lowest common denominator works. So.. As long as they keep it smart and fun the show will succede.

I want Jeremy to meet Carroll Shelby or Mario Andretti.

Too bad Paul Newman passed away he would have enjoyed the last year and would have been a great celeb in a reasonably priced car.

As far as host go I keep hearing the names Tanner Foust, Jay Leno, & Jerry Seinfield. The only one I know for sure is Foust.

I hate to disagree with you, but I do. I can't see how that was 'flat', it was brilliant! I was going to write a well structured arguement, but after my internet crashing on me 4 posts in a row I have lost all patience to type!

So I shall simply leave it at, I disagree, but if you didn't like it fair enough. Go watch fifth gear instead. SHOCK HORROR, oh dear!! I know, I know that was below the belt, couldn't resist

So let's get this clear: there isn't an American version of Top Gear yet? But there is a guide for this non-existent programme on TV.com? Cosequently, the original is now Top Gear (UK) as if to suggest we have copied a programme that doesn't even exsist.

furthermore; this programme has, at the time of writing, a rating of 8.3 great, from 100 votes and is tracked by 180 people.

    shakes his head in disbelief

I love top gear, they are just to funny (AGAIN, in a factual way )

Does anyone know the morse code the stig was using from this epi? Last week it was "Strictly come dancing is crap" and "I like cheese"

i thought the news (which i usually love) was too short and not funny enough.
also, i felt the 'factual documentary' part was not as good as usual top gear.
i do hope it gets better as the series goes on

I know that everyone is entitled to there opinion but at the same time, I can't believe that people didn't like this episode. I think that the series so far is a vast improvement over series 11. Thats just my opinion.

just shoot the bbc editors/ ep director they don't have a f ing clue

why bother showing a big sign on screen saying we can't show the good bits ? every few secs spoilt the fluidity of this ep imo

lol at RM having to buy the car then 'wrecking it' though when he said he wanted to crash in to JM at any chance he got implied the uk tax payer bought it or dodge did eventually lend them one they just had to take the piss as usuall

lol at JM hating the car he had at first and moaning on ages .

JC oh my dear fellow giving the LIMP finger to a copper CLASSIC MOMENT !

tbh the whole we are being serious / factual moment was actually funnier than the normal hi jinx they get up to who cares if its scripted, its done well !

i wonder what RM will be wearing for a bet next week ooooh i say
