For some reason, I think the Dail Wail were rather proud of themselves when they worked this out. It's a shame everyone else knew.

    Article

I like the way they managed to get the phone call scandles mentioned at the end.

Is anybody really that fussed if it was staged??? It was seriously the funniest thing I have seen on tv for such a long time!

The Daily Mail insists on finding this stuff out when in reality nobody really cares. They think they've discovered some scandal. Like recently they ran two full page articles on how Bear Grylls had stayed in hotels when he did his program Born to Surivive. They seem to miss the point, there isn't any point in making him stay in the wilderness when he isn't filming.

I think most people know that they didn't set someone elses caravan on fire or run back into a burning caravan to get a potato.

I'd go back in for a banana - not a spud though. I think you've summarised it very well, sfaberge. It's only the Mail and let's be honest; only middle-class racist Nazis read it. Or 'Tories' , as I call them.

It's the same complaint as 'it's scripted' ... so what? It's still hilarious!

Exactly. I have to say I'm glad Top Gear was defended in the comments, I thought the article was going to be swamped with comments from environmentalists.

Ha, I don't think environmentalists come here!!

The scripted thing is a bit strange considering they probably write the script themselves about 5 minutes before they do it.

MattAllenLFC, it's good to see you are very impartial as an editor . If you read Clarkson's page in The Sun, you see him poke fun at the Daily Mail all the time.

Is James's hair real? Part of me says it's not of this earth, but then there's a part of me - a very scared part of me - that thinks it could just be genuine. Top Gear Dog is two midgets in a dog suit.

It was fairly obvious that it was staged, but I didn't care because it was freak'n hilarious Has to be one of the best episodes of Top Gear ever

Who cares if the stunt was staged honestly. I personally would have preferred not to know but thats what you get when rubbish like the Daily Mail is around. Funniest thing for me though was the small accident James had at the Petrol station.
