Season 24 : Episode 3
Jeremy, James and Richard take part in Britcar 24 - a 24-endurance race at Silverstone. James travels to Budapest to race the new Fiat 500 against boys on BMXs and Stig takes the Ascari A10 around the Top Gear track for a Power Lap.
Keith Allen is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
Richard drives Renault's 2006 F1 car around the Stowe circuit at Silverstone. The Vauxhall VXR8 is tested on the track and there's a BMW that can drive itself.
James Blunt is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car. Oh, there's some bloke called Lewis Hamilton, too.
Jeremy finally shows concern for the environment by suggesting a replacement for 4x4s. Well, sort of… he compares the 507bhp AMG Mercedes E Class estate with the BMW M5 Touring - which only has 500 bhp. Richard and James try their hands at a new motor sport - Motorhome Racing. In the studio, Jeremy has a £750,000 motor home called the Performance.
The new Honda Civic Type R is tested and driven by the Stig. James drives the Alpha Romeo 159 and 'rugger bugger' Lawrence Dallaglio is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
Jeremy, James and Richard race each other using a bike, a boat and a car to find the fastest way across London. The Stig drives the 'potato baking' Caparo T1 on the track in an attempt to beat the long-standing fastest time set by the Koenigsegg.
After the excitement of commuting across London, Richard regains the will to live by racing an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster against a man on roller-skates... with rockets strapped to his back.
Simon Cowell - a man who is liked by some people - is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
The boys travel to Africa with a mission (or two): they must each buy a car – but not a 4x4 – for no more than £1,500. They must then drive (the cars) across fairly unforgiving terrain in Botswana - including the Makgadikgadi salt pans, without being drowned in the rivers, or eaten by the wildlife.moreless
Have you ever wondered which would win in a race between a Typhoon jet fighter and a Bugatti Veyron driven by Richard? Neither have I, but someone at Top Gear has, so it should be a giggle. As should the self-parking Lexus LS600h - a demonstration of which could well end in more headlines. The new Lamborghini Reventón - the new limited-edition model based on the Murciélago LP640 - will also be in the studio.
James drives the new Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead and Jeremy gets to play with the new Ferrari Fiorano 599 GTB. He also drives something much smaller and less sophisticated... this doesn't mean he will be getting a piggy back from Richard, he'll be driving something called the Peel P50.
Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
More amphibious fun with the TG3 as they attempt to cross the Channel to France in their amphibious vehicles from series 8 [episode 3]. Richard has a new redesigned 'Dampervan' and Jeremy's 'Toybota' is replaced by a 'Nissank'.
Jeremy drives the Audi R8 on the track, while Richard prefers the Porsche Carrera 2S. These will most likely be the only vehicles not to sink this week.
Jools Holland is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
