Jeremy, James and Richard are back in the United States. And this time there's no redneck baiting. Instead, they travel from North Carolina to New York - where the locals are well-known for their tolerance... On their last American road trip, the boys drove cars bought for $1,000. This time they get to travel in a little more style with the Ferrari 458 Italia, Mercedes Benz AMG SLS and Porsche 911 GT3.

The Director of Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle, is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Ferrari's latest beast is the 458 Italia and Jeremy drives it on the track. As a consequence, this week's programme might contains shouts of 'power!' and some dribbling.

On a gentler note, each of the boys has a budget of £5,000 with which to buy an old British sports car. They then set off on a nostalgic roadtrip from Norfolk - the home of Lotus - via the former Jensen factory in the Midlands to Blackpool, where TVR used to build its cars.

Jeff Goldblum is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

    Broadcast times: BBC2 9:30pm, BBC HD 11:00pm.

Richard races Volkswagen's latest version of the Touareg 4x4 against some snowmobilers in Sweden. James returns to Ehra-Lessien in Germany to try and break his own speed record, set in a Bugatti Veyron, in the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. Jeremy pays tribute to Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton drives Senna's 1988 McLaren MP4/4.

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are the rather large Hollywood Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car. Yes, they really are.

The boys head to the west country for a bank holiday week-end in their home-made motor homes. This is bound to go well...

Thankfully, they've left building sports cars to the Germans, so Jeremy takes to the track in the new Audi R8 V10 Spyder and the Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet. Andy Garcia is the very big Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.moreless

Jeremy, James and Richard drive the Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera Turbo and the Maserati Quattroporte GTS; four-seater cars from manufacturers more famous for their two-door cars.

Richard also drives the Chevrolet Camaro SS and Mercedes E63 AMG. Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello is the latest F1 driver to try his luck in the Reasonably Priced Car and Rupert Grint is the (not an F1) Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

With a budget of £5,000 each, the boys buy cars which are at home on the track and suitable to take the family shopping. James is on test track duty this week to drive the Porsche 911 Sport Classic and the Boxster Spyder. Alistair Campbell is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.moreless

Stig gets to play with the new Bentley Continental Supersports, whilst Jeremy enters the exciting and sometimes topsy-turvy world of the three-wheeled Reliant Robin. James drives a Toyota Hilux up a volcano in Iceland - yes, that volcano - and Richard says goodbye to the reasonably-priced Lacetti. He and Jeremy then host a 'star-studded' barbecue to introduce the new Reasonably Priced Car: a Kia Cee'd, affectionately known as the cee - apostrophe - dee.
