Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Feature: Clarkson and May make Volkswagen Scirocco advertisements that aren't boring and the Cool Wall Guest: Jay Leno Reviews: Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst and HSV Maloo Aston Martin V12 Vantage

The entire season was great and for the most part the final episode had some of the most humorous and rip-roaring moments. From the cool wall to the Vauxhall VXR8 (please import to US), the show had some of the best television this year. However, the ending was like a Chrysler, broke down and left us wondering. It seems with age and every new season that Clarkson wants desperately to live in past of V12's even at the expense of the planet. What's so bad about a hydrogen/electric Aston Martin? Clarkson sounded like a conservative lobbying for the car companies status quo. Too bad it leaves a bad taste in your mouth til the next season.moreless
  • great episode, cool wall visited, making a VW commercial, Jay Leno drives a terrible blue car, and Jeremy makes car drivers everywhere cry a little

For a finale to the 13th series I thought it was a little strange how they didn't do anything very big (I felt like the whole season went this way tho). Jeremy's very surreal review at the end - while way off the usual mark for ANY type of Top Gear review - was quite honest and meaningful. A lot of fantastic imagery like always, showing off this beautiful car, but in all of it Jeremy only has a handful of words. A few statements to show nothing about that (or any other) car really matters when you hear and think about Clarkson's opinion about the future of cars.moreless
  • Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst and HSV Maloo are tested. Jezza and James attempt to make advertisements for the VW Scirocco Diesel which aren't boring. Jay Leno is star in a reasonably priced car. Aston Martin V12 Vantage is driven by Jeremy Clarkson.moreless

I love the show and the series (why I rate it 10/10) but something strange happened on this last episode of Season 13. Jezza drives the V12 Vantage in the last 5 minutes of the show and says almost nothing other than he loves the car and goes on about how it's almost sad that due to the current state of the world, fuel prices, government restrictions, etc may mean this is the last of that type of car we may see. Kind of strange in my opinion.

Anyone else think that was a REALLY weird way to end the show/season?moreless
