Episode Summary

EDIT

Jeremy drives the new Rolls Royce and there's a nostalgic look at the Rover P5, including one owned by the Queen. Jamie Oliver tries his luck in the Liana as the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car. He also tries to prepare a salad in his camper van, whilst being driven around the track by the Stig.

On the track, politicians representing the main political parties, as well as some less well-established parties, try to become the fastest political party behind the wheel of an MG ZR rally car.

  • The Luxory Epsiode. rolls royce phantom - the only true luxory car.

    9.5
This the "luxory episode" of the season and it makes a great start with jeremys review of the rolls royce phantom. This type of review is what jeremy is best at, not the tire burning but the simple act of finding the best and worst of a car and then determining what really is important. This review also higlights the unappreciated skill of the top gear team for driving the cars in the right setting like the rolls on the Humber bridge.

The cool wall is back with the usual "reasonable Debate" occuring. The news is quite interesting this week with a intercar flirting service being talked about.

The most pointless and uninteresting race is undertaken involving the political parties. the best part is the audiance reactions to each party.

They do something that is missing in most recent series - they review an old car, properly. Hammond reviews the Rover P5, back bone of the british government (along time ago).

If you hate jamie Oliver, like me, then you'll enjoy this episode.

For the petrol heads jeremy tries to determine whether the Audi S4 is better than the BMW M3. This involves a lot of tire smoke and racing shots.moreless
  • Jeremy review (and again promote anything Britain) the Rolls Royce. Star in a Reasonably Priced Car: Chef Jamie Oliver who was set a challenge of cooking salad in the back of his campervan whilst being driven by the Stig (couldn't do it).moreless

I really like the review of Rolls Royce in this episode, although I think they are a bit bias on British-based cars. Again, I still have no idea what are the criteria of the cool board are! Next in line was the Rover P5, quite an old nice car. Really like this segment as a loverly of classic cars. I think they should have more of this.

Jamie Olive was a good choice for celeb segment. Some celeb that came on the show was just way toooo boring. Jamie time around the track was 1.50 sec. Next, BMW M3 goes head to head with an Audi RS4. I like this segment where they not only measure the car's straight line speed, but how it actual handles in the corners and in the wet.The Stig drove the Audi to beat the M3 by 1 second! I didn't really care much for the political party race around the track. Good episode, not enough reviews that exciting though.moreless
