Graham Boanas, the man who walked across the Humber estuary, also walked across the river Mersey in August 2006. He wanted to raise money for Debra; a charity for people who suffer from the genetic skin blistering condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa. Mr. Boanas, who wanted to raise £100,000 for the charity said: "I saw a programme about children with EB and I just wanted to help".
"I came up with the idea of walking across rivers, I just wanted to do something different to raise lots of money for them".

Called the Honey Badger because of it's love of honey, it has a reputation for being pound for pound, Africa's most fearless animal despite its small size. It is even listed as the "most fearless animal in the world" in the 2002 Guinness Book of Records.
