Top Gear's audience figures were down this week, due to the live coverage of Spain's victory over Germany in the European Championships. The figure of 4.2 million gave Top Gear an 18.1% share of the TV audience. It remains the most-watched programme on BBC2.
The celebrities only finished setting their lap times 2 hours before the edited version was shown to the studio audience. Rupert Penry-Jones was particularly impressed with this speedy editing.
The camaraderie between the 3 lads is just as amusing as when the camera is running (however, James May seemed visibly irritated about something during the filming of this episode). Also The Stig introductions really do seem to be made up on the spot as it took several takes to shoot due to Hammond cracking up and Clarkson changing the introduction several times.
Clarkson spent at least 10 minutes of the time it took to film the News section chatting to a female member of the audience who was very attractive.
Clarkson tripped up the first time he stepped onto the stage for the news and skidded to a halt.
During the "Speed" challenge, when Richard drives through the hammerhead, his stinger falls off, then it comes back on again and disappears again when he finishes the lap.

Chat show host, Jonathan Ross, was originally due to drive the Reasonably Priced Car this week, but he was 'bumped' at the last minute for James Blunt. This was revealed by Jeremy Clarkson when he appeared as a guest on Jonathan's chat show.

Graham Boanas, the man who walked across the Humber estuary, also walked across the river Mersey in August 2006. He wanted to raise money for Debra; a charity for people who suffer from the genetic skin blistering condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa. Mr. Boanas, who wanted to raise £100,000 for the charity said: "I saw a programme about children with EB and I just wanted to help".
"I came up with the idea of walking across rivers, I just wanted to do something different to raise lots of money for them".

Even though the Honey Badger sounds like something Jeremy has made up, it truly is a real animal and, amazingly, is as ferocious as Jeremy states (except maybe the attacking testicles part). Called the Honey Badger because of it's love of honey, it has a reputation for being pound for pound, Africa's most fearless animal despite its small size. It is even listed as the "most fearless animal in the world" in the 2002 Guinness Book of Records.
