      • Not live: This episode was pre-recorded on 6th February 2003.

      • Centre of Controversy: As t.A.T.u''s song 'All The Things She Said' hit the number one position, the BBC found itself in the middle of controversy surrounding the promotional video where singers Julia Volkova and Lena Katina (respectively 17 and 18 at the time) were seen kissing whilst wearing school uniforms. The BBC denied claims it had banned the promotional video due to it's post-watershed content. Top of the Pops' decision to show exclusive performance footage was made because they believed it was better and that it would show the video at some point in the future. Funnily enough however, the performance also featured the same kiss but was censored by showing a quick preview of next weeks show.

      • Signing off: Scott Mills' reads his last 'Top of the Pops' chart countdown and appears in the studio with his replacement Wes Butters to give him a few tips.
