    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (0)

    • QUOTES (1)

      • Jayne Middlemiss: Feeling a bit frisky because Santa's got stuck up her Chimney, I dunno who the Tamperer is, but this is Mya.

    • NOTES (4)

      • Not now Jane: Jane McDonald appears frequently throughout the show whenever an act is announced prempting that it'd be her. Each time she's turned away by one of the presenters with a stern "Not now Jane".

      • Down the Vic': Fat Les' performance begins in the streets of Albert Square, on the set of Eastenders, which at the time was adjacent to Top of the Pops whilst it had it's home at Elstree Studios.

      • Montage: Stardust's 'Music Sounds Better With You was used as a backing track for a massive montage of best bits of Top of the Pops in 1998.

      • Pending Motherhood: Both Mel B and Victoria (then) Adams were pregnant at the time of the performances in this show. Mel was due to give birth to Phoenix Chi and Victoria was expecting Brooklyn. They both gave birth in February and March, respectively, of the following year.

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Movie: Alice in Wonderland

Mya appears dressed as Alice from 'Alice In Wonderland' complete with (stuffed) dog, at some point in the performance the clothes get torn off (revealing a red sexy number) and the dog gets thrown to the back of the stage... but if you give just £1 a month to the RSPCA...

      • TV Show: EastEnders

The set of the infamous long running BBC soap 'EastEnders' is featured at the beginning of the 'Fat Les' performance.
