Episode Summary
George and Marion Kerby were enjoying their fifth wedding anniversary when they became victims of a skiing accidents. Their only potential rescuer, Neil a Saint Bernard dog, was also killed in the tragic avalache. The three of them became ghost and returned to their country home in New York to discover that the home was being purchased by a stuffy bank executive and his wife, Cosmo and Henrietta Topper. They make themselves visible and audible to Mr. Topper and encourage him to buy their home. ''moreless

- Topper is the first television show that used trick photography to show the interplay between humans in alternative dimensions. Edit
- There have been two failed attempts to revive this show. One was in March 19, 1973 called Topper Returns. It was a half-hour pilot that starred John Fink , Stepfanie Powers and Roddy McDowall. The second attemp was just titled Topper and aired November 9, 1979. It was a two hour TV special and starred Andrew Stevens, Kate Jackson and Jack Warden. Edit

ADD NOTES- This is the beginning quote from the narrator for Topper. It is how each show began. Narrator: This is Cosmo Topper. Bank Vice-President, loving husband, and, no he's not a magician. George and Marion Kerby are doing that. Ghosts. Yes, a handsome couple who were swallowed by an avalanche and came back to spread a little joy into a sedate business man's life. And that's their ghost-dog Neil. The St. Bernard who couldn't save them. That's what you get for drinking on the job old boy. Aren't they a wonderful bunch? And just think, Topper is the only person in the whole world who can see or hear them. Except for you and I of course. Well, it's off to the bank for Topper. What a way to start the day! Edit
