  • great first episode.

    9.5
This episode, was really good. The contestants, all show up. Izzy, Dj, Tyler, Lindsay, Leshwana, Harold, Gwen, Heather, Cody, Owen, Duncan, Courtney, Eskiel, Bridgette, Noah, and two new contestants Sierra and Alehandro. This season not only, do they have to go through elimination the regular way, besides the fact they would have to jump out of a plane, after being voted out: anyway every episode they have to sing, or lose their chance at winning one million dollars. The crew, has to travel the world competing for the money, avoiding elimination. They arrive, in Egypt. The challenge, is to go over or through a huge pyramid. Some choose over, some choose under. Anyway, when Duncan finds out that he has to sing again, something he doesn't like to do, he quits. I was shocked, but they wouldn't let someone win twice. Who'd want that? Three teams are formed, Team Victory; Harold, Leshwan, DJ, Bridgette, and Lindsay. Team Chris is really(x4) is hot; Sierra, Alehandro, Owen, Noah, and Tyler. Team Amazon, Izzy, Gwen, Heather, Courtney, and Cody. This is hopefully, going to be one.moreless
  • A Hilarious Season Premire for Total Drama, World Tour and Cody's Back!

    9.5
Season 3 of the Total Drama series takes off from Musical to World Tour. With Courtney, Duncan, Heather, Gwen, Lindsay, DJ, Owen, Harold, Noah, Cody, Ezekial, Izzy, Tyler and Bridgette returning plus 2 new characters: Alejandro and Sierra singing, dancing and Taking 1st class flight All over the World. The Word will be their's. Alejandro seems to have caught the Hearts of the females quickly except for Heather, who suspicous and Sierra taking a liking to Cody, my favorite character. Ezekial is annoying Chris with his all new Personality. Chris then plays a chime: A sound that means all contestants should Sing or be Eliminated. Duncan and Gwen don't want to Sing, but with Cody and Courtney's support, they finish the Song. Next, They reach to Egypt and have to reach the otherside of a Pyramid to win. Tyler tries to woo Lindsay from Alejandro, but fails. Ezekial is out of the game, for annoying Chris. Leshawna, Harold, DJ, Cody, Sierra, Heather, Owen, Izzy and Noah goes into the Pyramid and Courtney, Gwen and Duncan climbs the Pyramid. Ezekial and Izzy dress up like Mummies and Sierra and Heather team up. Later, Duncan gets Mad that he have to Sing again and quits, leaving Gwen and Courtney sad. Ezekial begs Chris to let him back in the game and he does because of Duncan. Ezekial, Lindsay, Harold, Leshawna, DJ and Bridgette become Team Victory, Izzy, Heather, Gwen, Courtney and Cody become Team Amazon and leaving Alejandro, Tyler, Noah, Owen and Sierra as Team Chris is Really, Really, Really, Really Hot (Sierra's words, not mine). Each Team gets a Reward for the Next episode: Team Amazon get a Camel, Team Chris is Reallyx4 Hot gets a Goat( don't like Tyler that much) and Team Victory gets a Stick... Is he serious? All will be reveal in the Next episode of Total Drama, World Tourmoreless
  • I have a feeling. That this season's gonna be a good one.

After seeing Duncan quit (a form of elimination), I am glad that this Antagonist will never win again, especially after being lost in the world when he was pushed off in the next episode. The people I know that might win this season might be Alejandro, Cody, DJ, Izzy, Lindsay, Noah, Sierra or Tyler. I didn't include past finalists (Gwen, Owen and Duncan), old antagonists (Heather and Courtney), and first people eliminated (Duncan, Ezekiel, Harold, Bridgette and LeShawna). I would place my bet for Alejandro as my "want-to-win" list because he makes this show totally wicked (For once, I don't refer to the Kristin Chenoweth musical show). He is less antagonistic than Duncan (Season 2), Heather (Season 1), Justin (1st Half of Season 2) and Courtney (2nd Half of Season 2). I would bet that one of the eight people (Alejandro, Cody, DJ, Izzy, Lindsay, Noah, Sierra & Tyler) would win Season 3..

(Blainely's Voice): ..and walk away with $1 Million.moreless
  • Great start to the season!

    9.0
This was the first ep of TDWT and we got to know the 17 contestants of the show: Duncan, Ezekiel, Harold, Bridgette, Leshawna, Lindsay, DJ, Owen, Gwen, Alejandro, Sierra, Cody, Tyler, Noah, Heather, Courtney, and Izzy. This weeks challegne was pyramid over-under, where the players had to manage to get to the other side of the pyramid. Alejandro has Lindsay and Bridgette in love with him, but Birdgette tries to evade him as she is with Geoff. Tyler is jealous of Lindsay liking Alejandro. Owen and Noah might become friends. Cody still likes Gwen but she doesn't return the feeling. Sierra is the one who loves Cody. Then in the departure, Ezekiel annoys Chris so he pushes him out of the plane, but he hides in the cargo hold. In Egypt they all go different ways and in the end the 3 teams are formed: Team Amazon (Gwen, Heather, Izzy, Courtney and Cody), Team Victory (Harold, Ezekiel (oh he comes back), Leshawna, DJ and Bridgette and Team Chris is Really Really Really Really Hot (Alejandro, Sierra, Owen, Noah, Tyler).moreless
  • "World Tour" starts on a high note.

    8.5
After my scathing reviews of the last two episodes, I wouldn't be surprised if you Total Drama fans have some choice words for me. Fair enough, I have no doubt I came across as bitter and haughty, but don't get me wrong; I may be critical, but I'm not condemning the entire series. No, maybe it's just blind optimism, but after watching episode 1 of "World Tour," I'm actually rather hopeful.

During Season 2, "Total Drama" experienced somewhat of an identity crisis, and suffered because it tired to be something it's not. In our world, reality TV is the junk food of the entertainment industry; it's cheap to make, and sets off the brain's pleasure sensors without providing any real substance. In the TDI-verse, they wanted us to believe otherwise, that Total Drama Action was the biggest thing since Pokemon, and that reality TV was the magic elixir that kept the economy of Canada alive. Perhaps it's because I'm too jaded to suspend disbelief, but Total Drama Action failed to convince me that even the simpleminded populace of a cartoon world could be captivated by such an unsophisticated spectacle.

That is what I liked about this episode; we get frequent jabs from Chef and the contestants, even a little self-deprecation from Chris, about how ridiculous the premise is, and how tawdry the third season will be. If they know what they're doing, the writers will rely on "So bad it's good" humor to see them through. One place where the Total Drama series frequently stumbles is when it forgets that it's an ensemble show. Episodes that give one or two characters the majority of the screentime are often the weakest points. Nothing against the writing skills, but few of the characters are dimensional enough to carry an episode all by themselves. That's why it's nice to see episodes like this, where no one seems neglected, pushed to the side, or insignificant. It was also nice to see last season's winner Duncan disappear almost immediately, assuring us that the same character won't be the focal point for two seasons straight.

The ensemble itself has its ups and downs. I was skeptical at first about how much they could do with Alejandro, but having him target girls in relationships was a brave move, and it'll be interesting to see how that will unfold. Cody, Noah, and Tyler are also welcome additions to the cast; I personally thought that the sideline commentators in TDA were dreadfully underused. Not so welcome is Ezekiel, who barely got any screentime the first time around, and now returns with an incredibly grating new persona, to the point where I wanted him to get eliminated first again. Also tiring is loud and rambunctious Leshawna, who's so perfect that they couldn't even think of a good way to eliminate her, and Harold, who does little more then spout pieces of trivia and fall down. Fingers crossed that those characters take the drop of shame soon.

Pleasantly surprising was the musical number. It may not have been on the same level as "Glee," but they found the right median of quality; it wasn't so bad that it wreaked havoc on my eardrums, nor so good that it defied suspension of disbelief. I'm sure that the singing and the comedic gags I praise so highly will go stale and become repetitive in a few episodes, but we'll deal with that when we come to it. The season opener was a pleasant experience, no reason we can't enjoy it while it lasts.moreless

Alejandro: And amigos, please, allow me. (helps Ezekiel and Tyler off the ground)
      Ezekiel: Wow, eh.
      Tyler: I like girls.

    • Owen: Sweet strawberry preserves! NO!
DJ: He's afraid of flying, remember?
Harold: Aerophobia, from the Latin, as opposed to aeronausiphobia, the fear of air sickness.
Noah: Keep up the fascinating facts, and I'm going to be aeronausious all over you.
